Three Days and Counting

Tanya has three days left. I left out day 4 due to tummy troubles. For our final list, how about listing three things that you have done since WLS that you never thought that you would do. 1. Wear a tankini that shows part of my stomach, and get compliments while wearing it 2. Run in public 3. Go back to college, stick up for myself, flirt outrageously with my husband all of the time (he loves it) This has been fun. Mary

Good Morning Mary! I hope you are feeling MUCH better today. Has the pain in your belly stopped? I hope so! Three days ... how exciting, Tanya! Things I've done since WLS that I never thought I would do: 1. I danced in a nightclub, and had so much fun. 2. I wore a bathing suit without wanting to die. 3. I've started to believe in myself ... for the very first time. I'm actually considering going to school, and learning how to make money and everything! Mary ... again ... you are the best. Dawn

Dawn, I've got the perfect plan, Let's run away from home and go back to school full time and be college roommates. Our only worry will be our next party and cramming for a test. Wouldn't that be the best? I'm so sad that I'm not getting ready to go shopping with you and Kathy and the upstate girls. Have fun for me!!! Mary

Awwwwww!!! That would be AWESOME. It pains me to know I made the choice to skip those years of my life. I had 2 babies before my friends finished college, and while I wouldn't trade my years as a Mommy for ANYTHING, I wish I had experienced college life when I young, and had the babies a few years later! 3 days!!! how exciting 1) walked down the beach with my 4 yr old with nothing but our bathing suits on and i didnt feel like everyone was staring because i was so fat 2) got hit on by alot of guys that would of NEVER taken a second look before.. i still think "oh theyre just playing" but then i realize theyre serious and i laugh lol.. actually had this girl come up to me and say "this guy thinks youre so cute come say hey to him please!!!" and he wasnt very cute and was bigger and i remembered how i felt when i was bigger so i went over and talked to him to make him feel good about himself! im married, but i was being nice! 3) have made the BEST friends EVER from having this surgery! girls and some guys too.. who i wouldnt want to live without! love you people!!! jen

OK, this is really fun! My three are amazing to me, as yours will be to you. 1. I wore a size 8 wedding dress... (I got married) 2. I allowed myself to be photographed wearing a bathing suit 3. People smile at you and make good, solid eye contact! How funny that these are my amazing things. I love my new self. Kelly PS One more. 4. One afternoon after getting off of a boat with my hair and make up all messed up a little girl in the Patriots Point Hilton's bathroom stared at me and told me I was pretty! (I have to admit that this one is the BEST)

1. Go up and down my stairs in my new Townhome with no problem. 2. Enjoy going to the park with my grandkids again. 3. Survive without my husband....and actually do well! Susann

There are so many things that it was hard to narrow them down but here goes!: 1) Actually feel full and throw food away because I could not (and did not want to) clean my plate! 2) Wear low-rise jeans. 3) Even CONSIDER wearing a two piece swim-suit! Well as you know I am new to all this. However, I have lost 54 pounds and can do things I couldn't before. 1. I can get on the floor and play with my 4 year old and then get up without having to crawl to the couch. 2. I can see things I haven't seen in years..If ya know what I mean. 3. I have some self esteem back....I can look people in the face not fearing they are judging me about how gross I look. This was great.. We will be praying for you Tanya. Love Jennifer

I like this!!! 1. People do not look thru me anymore, I get and give eye contact and people speak to me now. 2. My daughter is proud of me! She has never seen me at this weight. She went on vacation last week and brought me back an xl t-shirt from an 80's heavy metal band tht she knew I loved in the day and said I knew you could wear this now. She bought it with her own money and told me she was proud of me. 3. I could wear a bathing suit and not feel like a beached whale. 4. I want to go and do stuff and not sit in my recliner in front of the TV and seclude myself. Dawn , you are one of the most wonderful persons I have ever met, I think you should go back to school, dump the husband and we can get a place together. Also I so agree with Jen that I have made wonderful friends for life since I met all of you. I so look forward to Monday's when I will see you all again!!! Patti
