My turn now... Breakfast...A tablespoon hash and and some egg. I hate the taste of eggs now. Lunch...some apple juice..I feel backed up..... Anita...I was so depressed after my surgery. I had to go to my pcp and get some meds to help me calm down. It has gone now. But ask anyone on here, I was a big ole mess. I had a 30 day non stop pity party and noone was invited. Everyone was quite here. Then I had my pms..Almost sent me over the edge. I thought I needed a room in MUSC with padded walls. But it passed too. Now I am nearing Aunt Flos arrival again. And I feel fine. Craving sweets but doing good mentally. It will all get better. If you feel so overwhelmed talkto your dr. I did and I feel better. Love Jennifer...p.s. I take Zoloft and at night if I get anxious or nervous legs I take Klonipine...I think that is how you spell it. I am a medicated mess. LOL.....

What you are going through with the emotions is totally normal. We all have gone through it and it sucks. Talk to you doctor about some medicine to help you through this time and explain to your family. It will get better. Rachel

I DO UNDERSTSTAND, MS ANITA ... WHEN I WAS LIKE THAT, I FELT LIKE I WAS IN A DEEP, DARK, OVERWHELMING PIT ... I FELT LIKE I WAS JUST ON THE VERGE OF "LOOSIN' IT"; EVERYTHING SEEMED SO BLEAK TO ME ... BEEN THERE; DONE THAT. YES, IT CAN HAVE A LOT TO DO WITH THE SURGERY, BUT AS FAR AS SURGERY-INDUCED MENOPAUSE ... YOU CAN GO THROUGH MENOPAUSE TWICE ... ONCE AFTER A HYSTERECTOMY & AGAIN AT YOUR "NORMAL" AGE-INDUCED TIME. MY MOM WENT THROUGH IT TWICE. IF YOU ARE GETTING THIS HUGE HORMONE SWING DUE TO THE RAPID WEIGHT LOSS, & ALSO GOING THROUGH AGE-INDUCED MENOPAUSE, IT'S NO WONDER YOU ARE AN EMOTIONAL WRECK. ONE IS BAD ENOUGH! I'D SUGGEST GOING TO YOUR DR & HAVE THEM DO SOME HORMONE LEVELS ON YOU ... BE SURE & TELL THEM THAT HORMONE SWINGS ARE COMMON WITH GASTRIC BYPASS PATIENTS & RAPID WEIGHT LOSS (some Doctors aren't all that knowledgable about our issues). ALSO, SEVERAL OF THE LADIES HERE HAVE GONE ON ANTI-DEPRESSANTS TO TAKE THE EDGE OFF UNTIL THEIR HORMONES LEVEL OUT, WHICH THEY WILL. I WAS GONNA GET SOME BUT THEN WHEN MENOPAUSE HIT, THE HRT HELPED SO THAT I DIDN'T NEED THE ANTI-DEPRESSANTS. DON'T "TOUGH IT OUT" ... SEE IF YOUR DR CAN FIND A WAY TO HELP YOU OVER THE HUMP ... IT'S JUST TEMPORARY SO WHEN YOU FEEL BETTER, THEN YOU CAN WORK WITH YOUR DOC TO COME OFF ANY HRT/ANTI-DEPRESSANTS HE MIGHT PRESCRIBE FOR YOU NOW. GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk

What are Heart Healthy Nuts? We eat almonds & walnuts as they are very healthy ... &, I found a great trail mix with nuts, seeds & fruits but I haven't heard of Heart Healthy Nuts. Where do you get them?

Planters makes individual serving packages of what they call Heart Healthy Mix. They have peanuts, almonds, pistachios, pecans and hazelnuts in them. I bought a box of 6 packs at Publix and enjoy them as my afternoon snack. Susann
