Six Days to Surgery
Tanya had only six days left!!!
Today I thought that I would share the six foods that I love now that I'm post surgery. The presurgery Mary would have never dreamed that there is so much joy in a piece of pineapple (especially grilled). Please share your new favorites.
1. a frozen grape is divine
2. baked spinach and cheese is my favorite, its now what I ask my mother to make me for my birthday instead of chocolate cake
3. skinny sugar free vanilli latte with whipped on top - THE BEST
4. I've discovered sushi, YUM
5. seedless watermelon pieces
6. protein shakes can be good, your only limit is your imagination
The changes that your taste buds go through is awesome. Can't wait for you to try some new things with us Tanya.

Six more days and Tanya is a loser...
This one is going to be a hard one...
1) Sugar Free Popsickles are a life saver when you are so thirsty!
2) No-fat Latte with either Sugar Free Vanilla or Irish Creme Syrup. I was not a coffee drinker until after surgery but now I can not start my day with out them.
3)String Cheese is not just for kids
4)Beef Jerky, Teriaki flavor is the bomb
5)Citracal Chews - Great way to get that calcium in and have a little treat, Chocolat Mint - YUMMY!
6)Soups - I was never much of a soup drinker but now some days nothing sounds better that a bowl of French Onion Soup with some Shredded Swiss Cheese.
Mary, Can not do su****hat well, LOVE IT, but the rice limits the intake just too much. Maybe we should og get some together one day.

1. NSA Fudgesicles...I should buy stock in the company!
2. Coffee w/ SF Vanilla Caramel creamer OR SF Vanilla - or caramel Nonfat Lattes (love 'em!!)
3. Pure Protien Chewy chocolate Chip bars
4. steak - can't get enough
5. Kraft snackables 2% sharp cheddar - perfect portions and convenient
6. Hormel 99% fat free Turkey chili no beans w/ melted cheese on top - I've been eating this since the pureed stage. I still love it.

Oh Yea....I have a lot of yums now that really do make my taste buds happy....
1) SF Popsicles Tropical Flavor
2) Salad with shrimp, Salda Pizazz (dried cherries, cranberries and pecans) and Balsamic Breeze spray dressing...double yummmm
3) SF Dove Dark Chocolate
4) caramel mini rice cakes....three at night make me sooo happy
5) Kathy I am with you on the coffee w/SF vanilla creamer (decaf coffee though)
6) Steak, prime rib
Have to add #7....anything healthy now tastes so good and much better than the food I used to eat.
Tanya we have so many choices now....don't limit your thinking....try new foods you thought wouldn't be good....they are now!

1. Carb Smart Ice Cream Bars from Bryers rock
2. Chocolate protein shake with a little peanut butter tastes like a Reeses Cup to me
3. Wendy's Chili - can't sem to get enough of it
4. Salad w/chicken & almonds
5. SF Jello Pudding pie (my specialty)
6. South Beach Diet chocolate chip cookies.....
Gotta satisfy those sweet cravings somehow!

Today was a LONG morning. I never thought I would get outta that hospital. Every time I thought I was seeing the last person in walks someone else. And I was early for everything.
My lovely hubby keeps telling me NO MORE SWEET TEA. I just told him YES I can until Sunday. Then his response was thats gonna suck. LOL
Oh well I'll survive and so will he. Little does he know I won't be buying sugar at ALL after Sunday. HAHA!! The WHOLE house is going on a diet.

SPLENDA COMES IN BIG BAGS FOR THE GRANUALES, & IN INDIVIDUAL PACKS (the little yellow packs) IN A BOX ... YOU'LL GET USED TO IT EASIER IF YOU PUT THE SPLENDA IN & PUT THE HO****ER ON TOP OF IT, THEN LET IT ALL COOL DOWN & THEN ADD ICE IF YOU'RE MAKING A PITCHER. IN NO TIME, YOU WON'T EVEN REMEMBER WHAT IT TASTED LIKE WITH SUGAR.
I KEEP A BAGGIE IN MY PURSE & ONE IN THE CAR FILLED WITH SPLENDA PACKETS.
1. POWER CRUNCH TRIPLE CHOCOLATE & OH YEAH! CHOCOLATE NUT PROTEIN BARS (I live on these ... usually 3 bars a day)
2. NSA FUDGECICLES & SF POPCICLES ... & QUAKER SOY CRISPS (handles my cravings for treats)
3. 1 OR 2 BITES OF FRUI****ERMELON, MANDARIN ORANGES, MANGOS, GRAPES (frozen or just cold), CHERRIES (handles my craving for sweets)
4. ALL SORTS OF SALADS, VEGES & BEANS (you wouldn't catch me dead eating these before surgery ... now, I add tons of them to my cooking)
5. SEAFOOD ... SALMON, TALAPIA, SHRIMP, CRAB - JUST ABOUT ANYTHING FROM THE OCEAN (good source of PROTEIN & easy to digest)
6. CRYSTAL LITE PEACH TEA w/ A TOUCH OF CHERRY OR BERRY CRYSTAL LITE (the only way for me to get fluids down)
