Excited!

Ok, probably most here have had their surgery or have a date for one. I am really just starting this adventure! I am soooo happy I got my appt. to go see Dr Byrne (no s) and the nutritionist and phsyciatrist for May 24th. Also I am signed up for the seminar to see the risks for April 17th. It seems so far away, but I know days seem to fly by! Also can someone tell me how to edit my location? I guess mine should really say N. Charleston. Thanks! Teresa

Hi Teresa I have no clue about the profile stuff but am glad youhave your appointment. Don't let it scare the poop out of you! The days will fly by! We have a support group, the Lowcountry Bypass Buddies. We meet at Pizza Inn on Rivers Avenue on Thurday each week. After surgery they give youthe price for a child's buffet. The salad and pizza are great, even though we can only eat a little. We have some members that are pre-op and we all love to talk! You are welcome to attend ad we'd love to meet you. Most of us had Dr.Byrne and love him to pieces! Hope to meet you soon. Dollie

Hi Teresa!!!! How exciting for you!!!! I remember the day I decided to take my life back! It was the best day of my life!!! Time will go by fast. I encourage you to get in with a support group. Glad to see you so excited about the changes coming to your life. Jennifer Vallentine and myself had surgery Feb 7th. It takes a while to get all the paperwork in, and then surgery, but one day you are 3-4 months away and then the next day is your surgery. I started going to our support group aobut 3 months before my surgery and I am glad I did. They have taught me so much, and I have made friends that are so true and loving. We meet every Thursday at 6pm at Pizza Inn on Rivers Ave. Its okay if you don't know anyone, we didn't either. The people on this site are so smart. There is no question you can't ask. Deb
