LOSS OF 50 pounds. Need Clothes

I am so happy to have lost 50 pounds already. But now I need clothes to wear. I made most of mine before/ tops/ . Are there any meetings where clothing exchange happens? I have a wedding to go to in 2 weekend from now and have nothing to wear there. Would love to meet with others who have had the surgery also. Aisha

Aisha....Congrats on your 50 lb weight loss! that is so awesome!! And what a great problem to have...buying SMALLER clothes! I'm not sure where you are located in SC but we do clothing swaps sometimes after the upstate meetings on Mondays. Also, I have had good luck finding some clothes at Goodwill. Some of the stores get alot of name brand items and it only makes sense to not spend alot of money on transitional clothes! What sizes are you looking for? Melanie

Hi, Where are you located in SC? Also what sizes are you looking for? Go to a goodwill. Their stuff is cheap and they have nice clothing around here in the Charleston area. Theresa

There are also a few plus size consignment shops popping up here and there. if you are in the Greenville area, there is one on Hwy 81 between White Horse Road and Hwy 153. I have also heard that there is one in Anderson that is kind of upscale and only accepts name brand clothing. Finally, a local consignment sale, Trunk Treasures, is selling adult clothing this weekend. It is located in Taylors and they usually have a few good plus size items. On Sunday, the items are half price! Good luck!

Just a suggestion..if you update your profile we can know more about you like where you are in SC and when your surgery was. We all have clothes and do swaps at alot of the meetings here in north charleston and upstate. Just let us know. Jennifer

Hi Aisha. Looks like you are in Ladson, SC. If that is the case, we have a meeting every Thursday night at the Pizza Inn on Rivers Ave. We start at 6:00 and go for about 1-1/2 hours (or until we get tired of each other). They have a great buffet salad and let us eat at children's price. What size clothes are you looking for. We swap around clothes all the time, but we need to know what size you need. I would be happy to try to help you with some cloths if I have some that fit you . what size do you wear.I live in summerville and my daughter lives in Ladson . so I know somthing about where you are comming from and if you want someone to go with you to our meeting at Pizza Inn I would be glade to show you where it is.
