Hi everyone ,its been awhile. But I just recently had a baby shes actually a week and one day now,she weighed 8 and 5 ozs.Her name is brianna.Shes a handfull right now.But anyways I was just wondering when we had our surgery do you know if our uteras where suppose to be stapled? I know I didnt spell it right.Because I was in labor for two days with her and only dilated at 3 and half ,so we ended up having a cesaeran which when he open me up the dr asked me if I knew my uteras was stapled I said no ,so he said that was most likely the reason why she wouldnt come out.Dr .Brynes did my surgery so I dont know whether to call and get info and see if that was suppose to be done or what but wanted to see if any body else surgery was done like that.Ok well hope everyone is doing good.Take care.

Congratulations on your new arrival! If I was you, I would make sure to get what your doctor told you in writting. The uterus is no where near your stomach, so it makes me wonder how it could have had staples in it. It sounds like your cervix didn't dialate enough for her to come through, my daughter had the same problem and had to have a C-section also. Are you sure he wasn't just joking around with you? cause that's what it sounds like to me. Call the doctor who told you that first, just to be sure, before you call Dr. Brynes office. Take care and good luck! Mary

CONGRATULATIONS, & A BIG HUG & KISS FOR LITTLE MISS BRIANNA! AS FAR AS I KNOW, THE ONLY THINGS THAT ARE STAPLED ARE THE POUCH/STOMACH & THE REROUTED INTESTINES. GET THE SPECIFICS (where it was stapled, how many staples, any other nearby organs affected, problems it caused during delivery, potential future problems, copies of necessary medical records or test results, etc) FROM THE DOCTOR WHO DELIVERED YOUR BABY SO YOU HAVE AS MUCH INFO AS POSSIBLE. THEN YES, I WOULD GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR BYRNE & DISCUSS YOUR SITUATION WITH HIM SINCE IT APPEARS THAT IT MAY HAVE OCCURRED DURING YOUR GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY. GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk
