My husband decided to go on a diet to lose an extra 30 lbs that has packed on since we got married! He thought it would be so easy and decided to do weigh****chers. I got up and cooked him eggs and bacon (lean) for breakfast and have tried to be supportive. However when he added up his points he had eaten 40 points. He is allowed 34 so it wasn't that bad. He only went into his flex points 6 points. Anyway he blamed me because I advised him to eat a salad at Zaxby's and it ended up being 17 pts. One minute he wants my help, the next minute he says that I couldn't lose weight without surgery. I know that is gonna get you ladies going. I am trying my best to help him and I know his irritability is coming from never having to diet before and now he does. He is so frustrated!!! But, he isn't in the best graces with me anyway for those of you that know about that situation. Any way...just needed to vent Rachel

Jen is right he is going through dieters withdraw. Especially if this is his first diet. People who have never had to really diet can not understand the frustrations those of us who have, go through. Plus most men can think about losing weight and drop 5 lbs. It makes me sick. And the comment of about "losing weight without the surgery" is totally The surgery is a tool, just like his Weigh****chers point system is a tool. YOU LOST THE WEIGHT! YOU USED THE TOOL THAT WAS GIVEN TO YOU. Just like he now has to use the Weigh****chers tool given to him. You still had to diet, just like him. You still have to watch what you eat, just like him. I do not know if this helps or not, I hope it does. Julie

So funny Rachel, now all of a sudden my husband wants to "loose a couple of pounds" as he puts it. I purchased a treadmill at home and he has used it more times than I have. He even went out and purchased an ab roller to help do crunches. My Mom laughed so hard and said he is actually jealous of my weight loss so far and will do anything to try to steal my spotlight. He is eating all my fruit (instead of the 2 bags of oreos he originally bought laughing saying how I can't eat them anymore and he only has to share with the kids). I'm just floored because he was one of the people who also said having the surgery was the easy way out but now he is complaining that his fat belly wont go down even with the exercising he is doing. When he is sweating from running on the treadmill I tease and say, run faster, you don't want to have to take the easy way out do ya? Robin

LOL! Poor baby. Dieting is so HARD...boo hoo. Well, at least now he won't give you so much grief about your struggles. Tell him to load up on all the 0 point foods. We all now how tasty and satisfying those are...NOT! Unfortunately, my hubby is one of those that CAN take the weight off just by thinking about it, so he will NEVER get it. Kathy

Yea, I have too noticed that when the spot light is on me for loosing weight, it seems to be boring Trent. He says he is proud of me, but I noticed one day after several appointments, where at the Chiro they noticed the loss right away, and made a big deal over it, and at our family dr appt, they noticed and made a big fuss, then the lady at the pharmacy we go to church with noticed and was happy for me, then the minister of music at our church was happy when we saw him that same day. Hee Hee Hee He was talking to his dad on the phone and said, yea Deb is loosing weight fast and I know she would want you to know...(in this drab voice) You know men have to have their ego stroked, so I guess I have to keep telling him how fine looking his little tummy is (oops, I just ment to think that.) I am sure as we get smaller, their insecurities will get bigger. I guess they just have to deal with it like we have had to. Trent is up at 4:30am and at the gym by 5:30am every morning before work. I know the dieting is hard, we have all been there. But if this is the easy way out, we are sure tuff cats. Everyone has a choice to make. We made ours...and I'm lov'in it. Deb

Man I wish my hubby would pack on a few LBS so that he could understand. He is like 153 soaking wet and it is all mussle. Oh well I guess he will never understand dont you just hate people that can eat a box of cookies down a 2 litter and family size bag of chips and only eat fried food and not have an oz of fat on them. Oh well. Cari
