GREAT UPDATE!!

Hi Everyone!! It's been 2 weeks since I had my Hysterectomy surgery, They did the bikini "C" section type of incision. OH MAN! This surgery was sooooooo much worse than Gastric Bypass, I had 5 large tumors inside the uterus and a surprise for the surgeon .... A Grapefruit size tumor attached to the outside of the uterus! Gastric Bypass was a piece of cake next to this! I'm still in pain and taking Oxycodone everyday for it. It DOES get a tiny bit better each day. NOW.... For the GOOD NEWS! READY?? I went for my post op and was weighed, (I'm 9 1/2 months out) And I have lost a grand total of 150 pounds!!!! Doing the happy dance all over the place! The downer ... I was at my Grandma's when my mother walked in, Grandma said "Doesn't Debra look great" Now mind you, mother has only seen me once since surgery. mother's only remark about me, "She still has a fat butt and fat legs!" Just pray for her y'all, she's a sad person that leads a sad life. Good thing is, I no longer let myself be her victim. Anywayssss, Just wanted to give y'all an update. Keep me & hubby in prayer as we go to the Billy Graham "COVE" for the annual Deacon & Wife retreat on the 23rd of this month. I hope y'all have fun at Eddie's, I was hoping to get to go, but still too sore for such a long trip, maybe next time. Dianne .... Don't be hiding a trunk full of doughnuts for this trip now! I can just see it now, the Rest area and all my WLS sisters going to town on doughnuts! LOL! I love you girlfriend! I love y'all! Debra

WHERE TO START? OH MY WORD, WHAT WONDERFUL NEWS ... YOUR LIFE IS JUST GETTING BETTER & BETTER, MS DEBRA! ALTHOUGH THE 150 # LOSS IS AN UNBELIEVABLE SUCCESS & SUCH A WITNESS TO ALL YOUR POSITIVE EFFORTS & HEALTHY CHANGES, THE BEST THING I READ IN YOUR POST WAS THAT YOU NOW LOVE & RESPECT YOURSELF ENOUGH NOT TO BE SOMEONE ELSE'S VICTIM. YOU ARE SO RIGHT. ABUSIVE, CRUEL PEOPLE ARE SO MISERABLE IN THEIR OWN LIVES & THEY SIMPLY CANNOT CONTAIN THEIR MISERY SO THEY TRY TO PU**** OFF ON OTHERS. THE SAD PART IS THAT IF THEY WOULD FACE THEIR OWN MISERY, THEY HAVE THE STRENGTH & ABILITY TO DEFEAT WHATEVER HAS CRIPPLED THEM EMOTIONALLY. BUT, INSTEAD ... THEY LIVE IN A NEGATIVE WAY THAT IS ALIENATING THOSE WHO LOVE THEM, EVENTUALLY CAUSING THEMSELVES TO BE ALONE ... THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS I'M SEEING WITH OUR PRECIOUS BYPASS BUDDIES HERE ON THE BOARDS. SO MANY OF US ARE RECOGNIZING WHERE WE HAVE ISSUES & TAKING ACTION TO RESOLVE THOSE ISSUES. SO, LIVES ARE IMPROVING & JUST LOOK AT WHAT EACH PERSON IS CAPABLE OF WHEN THEY AREN'T LIVING UNDER THE BURDEN OF UNRESOLVED ISSUES. I'M AMAZED AT WHAT SO MANY HAVE DONE, SUCH WONDERFUL CHANGES ... WE HAVE THE GREATEST GROUP HERE! PROUD OF YOU, GIRL!!!! WOW, YOU ARE ON TOP OF THE WORLD! GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk
