EVIL CARBS!!!

Hi y'all, Yesterday I messed up. I have some chocolate (a very small amount, as in one square, of the darkest chocolate I can find) yesterday morning instead of at night like I usually do. And then -- I was STARVED all day! I won't go into what I ate, but it included a visit to the cafe AND the snack machines AFTER I ate too much for lunch and my afternoon snack banana! ARGH! I CANNOT believe I lost it and ate that much! I hadn't gotten anything from the snack machines since I had my surgery! So, my question is -- do y'all have similar experiences with carbs waking the hunger beast? I WON'T be eating any morning chocolate again, of that I can assure you, and I seem to be back on track today... Lisa

I have the same experiences you do. But I should actually rename your post "EVIL GIRL SCOUTS" My daughter is home sick from school and I spent all day yesterday in the house with her and 4 boxes of those cursed cookies. A bite here, a nibble there while I cleaned my house ...not enough to make me dump, but over time it added up to ...lets just say...more than one cookie. AND when actual mealtimes came, I was hungrier than usual. ALSO, there went my plateau buster diet. Oh well, today is a new day. Kathy

Oh, I am SO avoiding Girls Scout cookies! Those things are SO dang good, I can't stand it! One good thing about not having children, no daughters in scouts and no friends of children in scouts.... Of course, I'd rather risk it and have a child, but you can't always get what you want, right? Lisa

It wasn't my daughter or anyof her friends. It was the neighbors! When they show up all angelic looking in their little uniforms how can you tell them no? I'm blaming it on my husband though. He was supposed to take them to work. Its all his fault! LOL Kathy

Oh, even worse, the neighbors! I make my husband take stuff like that to work, too. It's his fault I ate those wheat thins the other night! Lisa

I'll be there! Oh, I'm moving on, back on the bandwagon. When I get home I'm going to seal up all the chocolate (it is sugar-free, by the way!) for a while.... *hugs* Lisa

I sooooo understand girl!!! I am 100% dreading the GS cookies coming into the house. But, I am also looking forward to a little "well deserved" treat every now and then. That is the big key, every now and then. Just don't do it every day and you will be ok. But why am I telling you this....you already know that. Don't beat yourself up, you will be ok. hugs!!! --Kelly

I'm not beating myself up (much). I'm just sort of freaked at how out of control I was! I haven't eaten like that in I don't know how long... *hugs* Lisa
