Surgery and a cold...oh no!!
It seems like no matter how hard I have tried to stay bug free, I have managed to pick up a cold.
My throat started hurting this past weekend and now I have a snotty nose.
I went to my PCP yesterday and got a shot in the rear and some meds for 2 days to try to knock it out of me. He made me promise that if it was worse, I'd reschedule.
Will they do it if I am only a little sick?
I figure if I have a snotty nose it will clog up the breathing tube...and I will drown. I don't have a fever, so I hope that's good.
Please pray that I am better in the morning. If not, please pray for me if I have to reschedule. I will be broken hearted.
Deb

Father God You know Deb intimately and I ask that You would touch her and heal her but ultimately I pray Your will for her life and this surgery...if tomorrow is her day then Father open the doors for her so nothing can stop it but if for some reason she must reschedule I pray your peace would envelope her like never before. IN Jesus' Name...Amen

Oh Deb,
I'm so sorry to hear that you aren't feeling so hot, I pray that you have a speedy recovery but if you are sick please let Dr.B know. This surgery has enough risk without adding any additional complications. I know you are excited and I know you feel as though you have waited long enough to change your life but please heed the warning. GOD knows what you need and what you want. If you have to reschedule then please do hun, it'll just be a little longer till your victory. I want you to have a wonderful surgery with no complications and I want to chat with you on here about how wonderful you are doing so please feel better and do what you have to do to stay safe. We love you here and only want the best for you, snotty nose and all!

Hey Deb! I really hope you feel better tomorrow but if you don't, everyone here is right.. There was just a post yesterday on the main board about someone who didn't tell their doc that they were sick and then ended up spending an extra 2 weeks in the hospital with pneumonia!! You don't want that and we don't want that for you!! Sending up prayers for you!!

Hey Deb,
It's not the end of the world if you have to postpone it. I wound up being sick right before my original surgery date. I decided that as bad as I felt with my cold/sore throat/cough the week before surgery....and thinking about recovering afterwards....that I should get over it first and I postponed my surgery for a week. By the time I actually had surgery, I had time to get well rested. My surgeon really was glad that I postponed it, too. He wanted me as well as I could be so my immune system would be up and my body could heal better after surgery.
I'll keep you in my prayers!!
Hugs,
Dianne
