%^&*$ SNOW & ICE!!!!!

AURGH!! Of course its yucky and dangerous to drive outside, but my office is open. They NEVER close! Teagan's daycare is not open...maybe will open later...so I am sitting at the office with her right here with me. I can not believe I took the chance of driving in this mess with my daughter in tow. I am soooo PISSED!

Well Kathy..... Miss Rachel is off work today as schools are closed... I say... we drop all of our kids off at her house!!

Great idea!! Think she will be mad if I call and wake her up? YOU KNOW she is probably sleeping in today. I want to be warm and cozy in my house too!!!! Kathy

Oh Kathy ... I hate to think of you out driving in the mess! PLEASE be careful when you get out there later. I hope Rachel is happy. I'm sure all the school kids are thrilled, as well. Jim is home today ... so I am looking for something to do to stay out of his way. (At least he built a fire in the fireplace.) Guess I'll go and assume my normal position as of late ... as close as I can possibly get to a space heater! I sit so close, I oughtta be COOKED by now. Dawn

I feel ya. But I am lucky to have a homedaycare so she never closes lol and only $10 per kid per day including meals is a blessing. Stay safe. Cari

Why is everybody picking on me????? Just so everyone knows.... I didn't go back to bed!! I have been up since 5:30am. My husband's bank was closed too so I have been busy cleaning house and washing clothes. Don't be hating on the school teachers!!! Rachel

Well, I had to go home because Teagans school ended up being closed for the whole day instead of a delayed start. And I wasn't getting ANY work done wiht her there. So either I take it without pay or use vacation. Grrrrr... I'm hating on the school teachers becasue I wish I had the same schedule!!!! Kathy

It's not to late to go back to school to become a school teacher. Stop hating and come join us!!! Rachel Hey, but school teachers do not get bereavement days. I earn 1.25 days a month. If something happens to a close family member....they don't care....you don't get paid....end of story. I didn't have any days remaining after surgery. When John's dad died, I ended up going 2 days with no pay. That kinda sucked!!!

Miss Rachel... We weren't hating on you or teachers...I think it's more of an envy thing.... I would have given anything to go back to bed this morning.. But.. I had to come in... I drove from Greer to Duncan going 25 miles an hour.. I do have a question tho... On any normal school day.. it takes an act of GOD to get my boys to get out of bed... This morning however, they were up and outside by 6:30. By the time I backed out of my driveway.. I huge snowman was built.. WHY ? Why can't they wake up like that on a normal school day???
