I LOVE the forecast for snow.....it's good for business. Everybody goes to the store for milk and bread and pick up a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts while they are there. We beefed up production last night to try to pick up sales from it!! BUT, I don't want it to actually happen. Tonight I'm working 3 pm to 3 am, and I'm off tomorrow. If it does do something and starts early, I may have to stay at the hotel beside the shop and work in the morning (which is my day off)!! Krispy Kreme only closes for Christmas!! And I have already worked 24 hours this week (and have to work the weekend) and will be ready for my day off!! Hugs, Dianne

Dianne...when we lived in Colorado Krispy Kreme opened up there and let me tell you everyday for almost a month the TV stations covered the hoopla of people in line from 3am till whenever to get HOT Donuts!!! It was hilarious...people actually slept outside waiting for it to open. And they bought like 15-20 dozen!!! Too funny...hope you don't have to work but do still want snow...just enough to see...."I'm dreaming of a white Valentines Day (or birthday) just like the ones I used to know...." Joan M

Snow would be so beautiful... if it were up state. People can't drive in sunshine let alone freezing ice. The Post Office has to deliver in rain, sleet, ice or snow, even in hurricanes, go figure...so I vote "NO ICE". My other half and I are both employeed with the Postal Service. Although I am not working right now due to my back, he is. Good luck to you all up state, I hope you get a beautiful white day off. Deb

Hi guys. My first post on the SC forum. thanks for letting me lurk. Rachel, you have me with a split opinion. I love snow, and would love to have a day off, BUT, my final psych appt is tomorrow pm in Charlotte (for the here's how you did on the test and in our conversation). Then Fri is my mammogram, Mon is my upper GI and Tues is nut appt, physical, and pap. Then . . .done. So, I don't wanna have to reschedule anything. How about if it starts earlier, (about 5 am? and then is drivable (sp) by noon?

First of all, Welcome to the board! Glad you finally posted and you are no longer just a lurker Second, the snow situation doesn't look good for you. Looks like conditions are going to get worse as the day progresses. I wish you luck though!! Rachel

I'll take those dang hurrucanes over the snow and ice and cold anytime. Most of the time we dodge the hurricanes, but the cold always shows up. LOL I love the coast so much. I don't do the cold. My fingers and body parts just stop working. Besides, it kills my back. I can't wait for Myrtle Beach. I just pray that all of the cold scoots by and warmer temps are here. Deb

okey dokey, then. Here in Ft Mill, big fluffy flakes, kids running around yelling and throwing snow (hope I did that emoticon right), and Robin sitting in her living room, and NOT at work (yeah!) but also NOT going to appt this pm. It sure is pretty tho! (TV just said 54 accidents in York County already!) Anybody else at home today?

Hey Ronin welcome to the board glad you finally posted. Hope your appt. remains the same for you...kow how you are anxious to keep ball rolling. I am on 2 hr delay near Columbia...work as crossing guard. Did see a few flakes early this morning while dark mixed w/rain but now just rain. I have friend in Fort Mill who always calls me and tells of snow and since we both were neighbors in Castle Rock, CO we love to see snow. Be careful and hope all goes smooth for you today. In Christ, Joan M

Thanks for the welcom, kind words, and good wishes, Joan. It keeps going back and forth from snow to sleet. I called my psych office and lo and behold, they said if I'm comfortable driving, the appt is still on (scheduled for 3:30 pm). So, based on what comes in the next few hours, guess I see if hubby is up for driving.
