Migraines?

For the past couple of weeks, I've been having horrible migraines. I haven't changed what I eat, or my soap, shampoo, or laundry detergent, or anything. I'd hoped my migraines were over because I hadn't had many at all since my surgery, but they seem to be back. Anyone else have this problem? Is there something in the air? I'm so confused -- and so sick of being sick! Lisa

I feel your pain. I get migraines all the time. One thing that helps even though you think it wont is to put an icepact at the base of your skull. Right where you head meets your neck. Hope this helps Cari

Lisa...Joan here...I have had a headcahe for 5 days now...I have taken Tylenol but of course that does nothing....I iwsh I had an answer....I prayed and asked the Lord to help me and others have prayed for me too. A few people from church have been diagnosed with sinus infections (severe) and have been on two batches of antibiotics...if this is what we have we may need to get RX. I wish they would come up with stronger meds for Gastric bypass patients. Hope I see you at support mtg next week. Joan M

It's really awful, isn't it? I'm taking my Tylenol with coffee to see if the caffeine helps. I had a sinus infection at the very end of December (well, it started as a cold, turned into laryngitis and then bronchitis and then came the sinus infection) so I did have a course of antibiotics. I saw Dr. Givens yesterday (it was a regular scheduled appointment) and he said we can take Imitrex and Relpax and other migraine meds, so I called my doctor for a Relpax renewal. But it really is awful! I'm planning on being there next week -- but I doubt if I'll recognize you! Lisa

I have been getting them too for the past 6 months or so. I wonder if I spend too much time on the computer and that is doing it? Ecedrine (sp?) migraine helps knock mine right out. I rub and rub at the base of my neck. Deb

I used to take excedrin migraine, but I haven't since surgery because of the aspirin in them. You haven't had any problems with them? I'd LOVE to take them again! Lisa

Oops -- I just realized you're pre-surgery -- of course you wouldn't have an trouble with them! Lisa

Yea, I am having my surgery on Feb 7th. I am changing my meds, but already I forgot that I had to give that up too. Deb
