You just never know

I just got an email from a friend of mine who was at the Oyster Roast this weekend at Boone Hall with another friend, Jeremy. Jeremy and I have been friends since we were 15 years old, that makes him one of my oldest friends. We both have battled our weight problem that whole time. Come to find out that I have inspired him to lose his weight. He is one that would truly benefit from WLS. You just never know who you touch out there. It is about to make me cry The impact of this journey not only effects our lives but those arounds us. I had no idea to this extent. I knew he was supportive of me and proud of how well I have done but nothing like this. I thought I would share with you guys because you can understand this more than anyone else. So lets keep inspiring other people and each other. You are the best bunch of people I know and I find myself lucky to know you. I do not think I would have done as well as I have without you. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
