It is really gonna happen!!

I got this email from my brother in Iraq this morning. Both of the family members that are paying for this surgery for me are working in Iraq in Balad, right outside of Baghdad. My sister is actually in Baghdad for the next two days so everyone please pray for her safety. Following is part of the email my brother sent to me this morning. Hi Sweet Sis, Pay day is this Friday and I'll be able to write your check hopefully. I don't see a problem with it, but just have to see exactly how much is going into the account. As soon as I overview my savings, I'll email you when you and Anne can expect to receive the check. Isn't this exiting? I have never felt better about spending $24, 000.00 in my life. A guy here at the office asked me how I felt about depleting my saving account which I just now have gotten a good start on. I asked him...if you had a choice of having $24,000 in the bank and a deceased loved one or $0 in the bank and a loved one that you could talk to and delight in having by your side, which would you choose. He said I get the picture...crystal clear. He told me I was a good Man, I told him...no I just love my sister more than I do money. Have you contacted the Clinic and gotten a projected date for the surgery yet? I am so excited for you my Sweet Sis. Isn't he the greatest? That is so sweet of your brother and sister to pay for your surgery. My brother would never do something like that for me. I'm so happy for you and I will keep your sister and brother in my thoughts and prayers.

To all of you who have posted - thanks so much - I am so blessed to have the family that I have - even those who are not able to contribute to the surgery in my family are behind me 100% with all their love, prayers and support. And to know that I have all of you too and my dear friend Rita (who has her surgery scheduled for February 22 - woohoo) just becomes the topping on it all.

Well I have already been crying from the good news I got this afternoon about my boyfriend paying for my surgery too. Now your brother just topped it off. Isn't our God so good. We could have rotton people in our lives, but he loves us so much that he blessed us with wonderful people that love us instead. Congrats!! Deb G

You are so right - I have been wonderfully blessed with my family both siblings, children and even wonderfully delightful grandchildren. They are what keep me going each and every day.
