Hi!!! Here is what's New!
Well, I had my Lower Body Lift 12/13/2006 and it really was the hardest thing ever, but now I can say it was totally worth it. Just hard!!!!
This really did take the full 6-12 weeks to recovery, Dr. Fuentes was right about that. I went back for my post op a couple of weeks ago, and he was pleased with everything. I still have pulling and a tightness feeling, and he told me to get on some scar gel and to take my pain pills still and to not rush things. My backside of my incision is the worst, and it still pulls open sometimes and last night it did too.
I still have to wear my binder for another 4 weeks or so, and I am starting to do more now. I can drive now, and I am still not allowed to exercise, but I can walk, and at class last night I did a little too much, catching the ball exercise we had to do, and a kinda running around, today I feel like a crow bar attacked me!!
I went to my first acting class last night and I loved it. I had a great time, and it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I did take a pain pill when I first got there since it was a 3 hr class, and then I had another class at 7pm-10pm, and that was the commercial class. I had such a good time doing it. I wish I had a lot more training and could get more out of my commercial class, but I learned a ton!! I actually did an audition for the casting director, and did okay, but you could tell I totally did not have any training, and he said that was just technicality and it would come with training but that my energy was good and I did hit my mark.
So, its all very interesting and I am looking to get my "Hollywood Headshots" soon. I am getting them from a great guy, who is the "King of Hollywood headshots" Kevyn Major Howard, and I am so excited about it. I only wish my deflated boobs could get lifted and augmented before my pics, haha.....I will just have to buy some fake ones before I can go get my new ones. I need at least 2 weeks recovery according to the doctor's nurse today.
It would be nice if I could take off a couple of weeks for my new boobies!!!
Well, write and keep me updated!!
Thanks for all the support for Tommy's stepmom and our family, I really appreciate it!!!
Love to you all, miss you tons!!!
Deb

Hi Deb,
I'm really so glad things are going well for you! I had a hysterectomy the same day you had your LBL, so I was late reading all your after-surgery posts ... but you were great to let us all in on everything you went through!
Sounds like life is getting back to some normalcy for you now. Enjoy those acting classes, and take good care of YOU.

Hey Deb,
Wow sounds like you have been keeping yourself very busy. Im so glad your feeling better and your other things you want done will come soon enough Im sure.
Just get the rest you need and dont rush anything. Its great about the acting classes
I bet your loving it. I think its great that your doing something you truly want, so keep up the good work. You gave me such good advice along my journey and Im doing pretty good. Its only a week for me since surgery but Im feeling so much better today.
I lost 6lbs but I guess its better then nothing. A friend of mine told me she lost like
22lbs the FIRST WEEK! I was like WOW wish I did so well, but I guess with time it will. You know how it is when you just want it to come off but Im keeping positive thoughts that all in time things will get better and better.
Well, Im off to get a little
something to eat so take care and good luck with everything.
Denise

Hi Deb,
So excited to hear that you are feeling a bit better and are well enough to do some things you enjoy. Congratulations on hitting the mark during your audition, way to go!! I pray that you continue to get stronger and healthier each day. Continue to take it easy though, we don't want any set backs ok? I know you don't want to be the only one not participating in class but explain to the teacher that you just had surgery and your physical participation will be a bit limited for awhile. I'm sure he/she will be able to change the activity a bit so that you may still take part. Be good to you, and take care hun.
