Meeting tonight?

Is there still a meting tonight? I was planning on coming and bringing a friend along who is also wanting to have the surgery. She's waiting on her packet to come in so she can get a date. I sent my packet in, Lisa called me with an appt March 8, but again didn't sound to promising on me getting approved. Said I needed a BMI of over 35 with diabetes, sleep apnea, back problems, etc. I hate going there and wasting my day when they don't think I can get approved. Anyone else been told this same thing and get approved? My BMI is 38.6 and I'm perfectly healthy. Just OBESE. I really really really want this surgery so bad and just makes me sad when to think I could be denied. HELP!!!

I think there is at JC'S. It will be my first one . I don't know what time yet waitng for response on time.. Can't wait to meet all

A friend of mine that had the surgery a year and a half ago, had to actually gain weight to have the surgery. I believe it was someone at MUSC that told her to gain some weight. Now, she looks awesome. I just saw her a couple of nights ago and she is so small. Where ther is a will....there is a way!! Deb G PS We will be at JC's tonight.
