Just moved to Summerville

Hi all, I am 4 mos post op from Michigan. Down from 262 to 185. WOO HOO. I am looking for a support group in this area. Any suggestions?

Hi, I also live in Summerville. My other half is from Michigan, Saginaw. We have a support group that meets every Thursday at JC's beside Food Lion on Ashley Phosphate road, at 6pm until 7:30 or so. We would love to have you. I am a newbie to the group, only abot 6 weeks, but everyone there is so warm, friendly and helpful. Just follow this message board and you will learn so much about other meeting spots, such as at MUSC and a some of the others homes. Welcome to town. Deb

Welcome Rebecca..and great loss so far!!! I live in SC but closer to Columbia (Lexington County area). I never get to go to the meetings because they are too far but I love conversing with the people here. You will be welcomed right in I know...because even though I can't see them in person they still welcomed me and have helped me so much. In Christ, Joan M

Hi Rebecca, I'm Tanya and I live in N. Charleston on the Air Force Base. I haven't had my surgery yet but hope to really soon. I've only been to 1 meeting and everyone was so nice and supportive. I can't wait to go back this Thursday. Look forwarding to meeting you soon.

WE MEET EACH THURSDAY EVENING AT JC'S BAR & GRILL ON ASHLEY PHOSPHATE IN THE FOOD LION SHOPPING CENTER. THEY HAVE PROTEIN ITEMS & CRYSTAL LITE OR TEA FOR US ON THEIR MENU. WE MEET AT 6:00pm UNTIL ??? Hi Rebecca I live in Summerville, too. Exactly what part do you live in? We are in Sunburst Lakes out in the Knightsville area. I am 7 months postop. I have lost, according to my scale, 111 lbs. Dr. Byrne's scale weighs a little heavier but that's with clothes on, too. I plan on going to a meeting at a lady's house in Goose Creek this Saturday. Call me if you want to go.
