Health Insurance

As some of you know I own my owe company and work a full time job. Well the time has come to quit full time job with benefits and concentrate on running my company and expanding it. Here is the trouble. I have called around to a couple of insurance companies to get health insurance quotes and all have riders about people with Gastric Bypass. Blue Cross/Blue Sheild has a 10 year waiting period. And another one I talked to has a 1 year. Can anyone suggest an isurance company to call for individual insurance where they look at Gastric Bypass as a postive thing and not a negative? Thanks Julie

You had your surgery already right?? So, what you need is just a good internal medicine doc, and since you are post op, why does it matter if you had gastric bypass or not?? You are past the complication stage right?? I am just curious why it matters with these companies, since they did not pay for the surgery?? Yes I had the surgery in March of last year. I do not understand either. I am had no complications and still doing great. I have a great internal medicine doc. Thanks for the advice on Nationwide. I have my own Pet Sitting business and I am looking at expanding into dog grooming, hence the reason I am looking for individual health insurance. I need to quit my job at The Citadel to concentrate on expansion. I have enough in my retirement to do it but I am gathering the info to make sure I can quit and go forward with my Puppy Empire that I have been dreaming of having for the past 5 years.
