Myrtle Beach Get Away

I have researched some dates and prices for the South Carolina support groups to get together. Place: Landmark Resort in Myrtle Beach Dates possible: March 23-25 (Fri-Sun) May 4-6 (Fri-Sun) April dates and some others require a minimum of 4 days and the prices are higher. Room A= Ocean front w/ 2 double beds, fridge, microwave, sitting area and private balcony. Sleeps 4. Room N= Ocean front w/ 2 rooms. 1 w/ 2 double beds, 1 w/ pull down wall bed, full kitchen, sitting area w/ couce, table and chairs and private balcony. Sleeps 6. 3/23-3/25 Room A $151.90 w/ tax. Room B $178.18 w/tax. 5/3 - 5/6 Room A $287.24 w/tax. Room B $320.10 w/tax. Shopping: Broadway At the Beach Barefoot Landing Tanger Outlet Coastal Grand Mall MB Flee Market - indoors and outdoors Shows: Medieval Times show & meal included The Palace Theatre Alabama Theatre Carolina Opery Legends in Concert Other Activities: Ripley's Aquarium Dancing Nascar Cafe' lots of putt putt places Let me know what you all think and I will keep moving on this. I am already planning a get away the weekend in March but will know something closer to the time. I am not sure when we are leaving. My friend is planning all the details for that trip. May is better for me, however I can not believe the price jump. Thanks for doing all of this. Everything sounds great! Either date sounds good to me, I just got to talk hubby into letting me go. I'm thinking for YOUR sake, we may want to do MAY. You will be a little further out from surgery and will be more familiar with what your new tummy can handle on vacation. I like the room B with the full kitchen. That will be very handy for us I think. Kathy

theres absolutely no way i can do may , the 4th is my 5th wedding anniversary.. and i better be on a cruise ship on that day or hubby's gettin a beatin march sounds fine to me. Or even late may or june.. whichever. but the 4th of may is out for me Jen

May 4th will be my 22nd anniversary. Still waiting for my cruise. Oh, well, 25 is coming.

I guess May would be better for me as well. It would give me some more time to save money. I like room b. That way we can split the cost among more people. However, I must tell you, I don't like sleeping with other people. The only person I can sleep with is my hubby and that took us getting a king size bed!! So I want my own bed! Rachel

HEY! I thought we were going to share because of our *cough, cough* nighttime issues with gas. I PROMISE I won't make any moves on you if we share the same bed...unless of course I get confused... Plus I think the "sleeps 6" includes sharing beds. So I would divide that number by 2. A double bed can get kind of crowded, so I don't mind paying twice as much. Kathy

I like room "B" also. I don't mind sharing a bed with someone just to keep the price down. I will try to not snore, poot, or throw my legs across you. Looks like if nobody wants to share, then we could comfortably get 4 to that room if we put 1 on the sofa. I like the March prices better, but May would be ok also. Guess we'll have to wait and see what kind of response you get about who is serious about going, then go from there. I'd like to see a good turnout. Thanks for all you're doing Deb.

I will pay extra for my own bed. We can get 4 in a room and still have our own bed. I have an aero bed. The number listed for may is the total cost right??? so divide that by 4 and it is doable!! But, yes, we need to room together....we understand the poot problem!!! Rachel

I think I like the May date better. But I'm flexible (in dates, that is!) Thank you, Deb, for planning this. It will be a great opportunity to get to meet people and have a lot of fun too!!!! Susan
