Myrtle Beach Get Away

Please check the rainy day blues hot topic. A suggestion was made for the upper state ladies and the lower state ladies to have a get together in Myrtle Beach. I would love to help plan this, and have posted an idea on the rainy day blues topic. Any one with any suggestions, ideas or that would also like to help plan this, please respond. I say go ahead and start planning. Pick a weekend, a hotel (the landmark is fine with me) and lets start planning. Whoever can go will make their own reservations and can work out the rooming plans. Go for it! I'm excited! Rachel

I agree with the pick a weekend and go for it....Might get a better rate if once you decide on weekend we see how many want to go/reserve a room and then maybe we can get a better rate. Also, aren't there a lot of good shows up there? Maybe we can see one while we are there? Just a suggestion. Susann

Hey Deb, sorry I didn't reply on my other post before now, I only get on the computer at work. I agree with pick a weekend and go for it. I'd love to wait till it gets a little warm, like late april or so, but if you are willing to plan it, then you decide. I say we get at least 4 to a room to save money, but we can group up later once everyone decides for sure to go. If you will check out the place you mentioned and let us know any info, then we would be much indebted to you. We will have a blast !

I guess you are in charge!!! Pick a date. I will definitely want to be there. It will be nice to get away from the hubby and kid for a weekend of selfishness, but if others want to bring their families, I'll go with the majority. Just a warning to whoever rooms with me...I pass gas in my sleep! Kathy

Planning in progress Now question #1, the Landmark is on the strip, ocean front. Would you ladies rather stay there or should I also look for a place close to shopping? The landmark isn't far away from shopping or the shows. question #2, what price range? question #3, Is this for a weekend, Friday -Sunday? I'll do my homework and post everything I find.

Ocean front, oh please, please, ocean front. We can drive to shop, but I love getting up early and watching the sun rise. Price range, I guess just average. Since we can get at least 4 to a room then $80 a night is gonna be about average wouldn't you think for spring? I personally would rather do a Wed. Thurs, & friday or thurs, fri & saturday, but I will do whatever the majority wants. I realize some people can't get off work.
