Exercise Idea

Hey, I am trying to get really motivated into this exercise thing. I am really into rewards so I thought about this. What if I keep a chart of how many miles everyone walks. We could post our milage once a week, or email it to me. When we reach the square milage of SC (31,113 square miles), we could plan a huge blowout party or picnic somewhere centrally. We could also plan group walks occasionally, like all get together to walk to bridge. I would love to come to the upstate and do some walks and meet you guys. Let me know what you think. Mary

Hey Mary, I can't walk the bridge yet but I sure wouldn't mind some friendly motivation. At the moment I am out of work and I am soo bored with myself but I can't seem to force myself to go workout at the rec center here in goose creek. Lets talk about it tomorrow at LCBB. Jennifer

Let's do. I am going to join the Rec Center here ASAP, probably next week. These flabby arms and yucky legs need HELP. I hope to be there tomorrow

I am in for exercising but think I will have to work up to the bridge....don't know if I could do it now. How many people are here in Goose Creek area? If we can find somewhere lighted we could meet at night and walk at least 3 times a week. What do you guys think????? If we can start out at 30 minutes we can add a little every wee****il we can walk for 1 hour 3 times a week. What do you think??? Susann

I think that is a great idea. I can use all the reinforcement I can get. I'm kind of busy but I'm sure I would be able to participate some. My goal is to walk/run the Bridge Run this year anyway so I better start practicing! Count me in!! Kids can come too, right? Susan 233/200/140

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA; EXERCISE IS THE ONLY THING I JUST HAVEN'T DONE NO MATTER HOW MUCH I HAVE SAID I'M GOING TO ... REMEMBER WHEN WE WERE KEEPING THE WEIGHT LOSS STATS HERE ON THE BOARD, IT WAS REALLY AN ENCOURAGEMENT, SO THIS WILL BE AS WELL. I CAN MARK OUT A PATH AROUND MY NEIGHBORHOOD & NOTE THE MILEAGE DOWN AT CERTAIN INTERVALS. I'M IN SUCH BAD SHAPE THAT I MAY ONLY BE ABLE TO START WITH 10 MINUTES BUT, IT WILL BE A START. NATASHA (OUR POOCH) WOULD LOVE A DAILY WALK. IF WE GIVE YOU OUR NUMBERS ON SUNDAY EVENING, YOU COULD POST THEM SO THEY WOULD BE AN INSPIRATION FOR THE BEGINNING OF EACH WEEK???
