Hey everyone! I just wanted to ask you about this to see if this has happened to you. I went to water aerobics tonight (yea me! ) After water aerobics I felt so weak and my hands were shaking. Kinda like pre-op when I would have a low sugar attack. I ate something around 5:00pm before going to water aerobics but it wasn't high in protein. I got home and ate a protein bar and drank some water and started to feel better. I go see Dr. B on Thursday for my 3 month appointment so I'll ask him. Just wanted to check in with you people. YUP, I GET THAT WAY WHEN I'M RUNNING ERRANDS & FORGET TO EAT; WE DON'T HAVE ANY FUEL/ENERGY STORED BECAUSE OF THE SMALL AMOUNTS OF FOOD WE EAT AT ANY ONE TIME. THAT'S WHY EATING 4-6 SMALL SNACKS THROUGHOUT THE DAY IS SO IMPORTANT ... TO KEEP YOUR BODY FUNCTIONS LEVEL. NICK JUST BOUGHT ME THE CUTEST BAG WITH ZIPPERED POUCHES SO I CAN TAKE PROTEIN BARS, PROTICA & A DRINK WITH ME WHENEVER I LEAVE THE HOUSE. PERFECT ANSWER! HE'S SUCH A SWEETIE! GOD BLESS YOU ... What is protica? I keep a protein bar in my car at all times.

LOOK AT MY PROFILE TOWARDS THE BOTTOM FOR THE PROTICA PROFECT WEBSITE ADDRESS ... IT'S A 2.7 OZ VILE OF LIQUID THAT HAS A WHOPPING 25 GRAMS OF PROTEIN. SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE IT AS IT IS THICK & SWEET, LIKE REALLY SWEET KOOLAID, BUT IT'S 2 OR 3 SWALLOWS & YOU HAVE 1/3 OF YOUR ENTIRE DAY'S NEEDS FOR PROTEIN ... THAT'S AMAZING. IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY IT, DO SO OFF MY PROFILE AS I GET A SMALL FINDER'S FEE ... HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A PENNY SO FAR, BUT WHO KNOWS. THE VITAMIN SHOPPE HAS A SIMILAR PRODUCT CALLED NEW-WHEY LIQUID PROTEIN ... I HAVEN'T TRIED IT, BUT EITHER PRODUCT IS WORTH A TRY FOR THAT MUCH PROTEIN, NO CARBS, NO SUGAR, NO FAT & ONLY 100 CALORIES! GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk

I started having that feeling in the morning, after breakfast and snack. I dusted off my meter and started checking my glucose -- yup, it was really low. My doctor told me to have a protein snack at night, and that took care of the problem. Yours must be linked to the exercise, so follow the advice of Lady D and have protein with you! Lisa

ISN'T IT TOO FUNNY HOW OUR BODIES ARE CHANGING, MS LISA? IT USED TO BE THAT OUR BLOOD SUGARS WERE SO HIGH THAT MOST OF US WERE DIABETIC ... NOW, WE HAVE TO ACTUALLY WATCH & EAT SOMETHING SO THAT OUR BLOOD SUGARS DON'T GET TOOOOO LOW! AAAWWWHHH, LIFE IS GOOOOD! GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk

You can say that again -- going from diabetes to low blood sugar? It's been a wild and wonderful trip! I've learned to ALWAYS have a protein bar handy now.... In fact, my blood sugar is really low right now, so I had to eat one.... Blessings! Lisa

Yep, I totally know that feeling. I've recently started making jewelry. I'm addicted now. Sometimes I won't realize that I haven't eaten until my hands are shaking so much I can't string the beads or wire. By then it is too late! Then I just want something quick and easy which usually means NOT HEALTHY. Working out will make that happen to you sooner. Stick to the several small meals a day and keep a protien bar or shake for after working out. I'm TRYING to do that. So far, on day 2 of "getting back on track" its working. Will you be at Dr. Bour's next Monday? Kathy
