Does anyone know if you can take Ambiem to help sleep after surgery?

I've tried it twice since my WLS (most recently 2 weeks ago) and it makes me hallucinate. Knocks me out like a light once I'm past that stage, but those few minutes before are quite unique! I think that may be a common side effect but not sure......I just know it starts working on me within 5-10 minutes of taking it. Not a good drug for me

Hi Deborah I had my surgery with Dr. Byrne in June, 2006 and I use Ambien CR ~ it works really well for me.
