I'm back and WOW moment

Thanks to all of you for supporting and praying for me during my time of intense pain and whining. I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful support site. I felt the love coming from the upstate on down. I just hope that I can help some of you some day. I'm a little better pain wise. I went to the Dr today and he took off the dressings. It hurt really badly, but its slowly getting better. It was funny, usually his office makes you feel somewhat like a drug seeker when you ask about pain medicine. Today, he just walked out of the room and said "I'll write you a script for more percocet. " I just can't wait until I don't need it anymore. In all of our Christmas pics I look stoned. I saw Towana there who was getting a checkup. She looks GORGEOUS. She also has an absolutely flat stomach. She is definately even more of a hottie than she was before. She is also the most wonderful friend any one could ask for. I also feel so lucky that I am discovering what a beautiful person Deb is. I am truly blessed that she is in my life along with many other. I know I'm rambling, blame the drugs. Here is my WOW. I was in Victoria's Secrets today, just browsing because I have a wonderful gift card. I started talking to a lady who was getting REALLY skimpy stuff for her honeymoon. I told her that I would love to wear that sort of stuff. She said, "you can, here's a medium and large right here." I think I got tears in my eyes and just said, I used to weigh almost 300 pounds, I can't believe that I can even stand by you in this store. It was such an empowering feeling. Maybe I will finally start to get rid of my body image as a sad little fat girl. Sorry for the long winded post. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Love, Mary

Hi Mary!! It was so good to see you today! Thanks for the 'Biased" comments- They go a long way in helping me feel like I don'e look like a bowling ball!!! To shop is Victoria's Secret is DIVINE!!! I haven't been since surgery, I am planning a trip the beginning of January- I have had to buy all new bras and panties AGAIN!! Isn't that a WONDERFUL Feeling????!!! Remember to keep on top of your pain meds, and rest as much as you can.... this will be all over before you know it!! Love and Hugs- Towana

Thanks Becky. I wish I could be at JC's tonight. I have a weird situation at my house. My best friend from high school's exhusband is coming to dinner with his new wife. Susan and Paul were our couple friends here until they moved to DC and got divorced. Paul brought his new wife here for their honeymoon and wants us to meet. Keep up the great work, Mary! Like I keep saying to myself & others - no one said it would be easy, but everyone says it's worth it! I am SO looking forward to my evaluation and (hopefully) quick approval and quicker surgery date. I will be proud to stand by you in Victoria's Secret someday - I'll let you know when...
