The "Every Ready Bunny!"

Well everyone, I am home! First and foremost let me say THANK GOD!!! As Dawn told you, this last surgery did me in completely! For those of you who are wondering, it was not because I had the two surgeries back to back, what has happened is that my bladder was spasing because of the catherter!!! They gave me enough meds to down a few horses, however NOTHING took the edge off! It was not until they got me Detrol and Pyridiem (bladder medications) that I began to have some relief!!!!! Other wise I am doing extremely well. I have gained about 11 pounds of fluid- they kept giving me boulus of saline to urge my bladder to move! Thank goodness I am beyond trippin' about the scale not moving!!! Boy have I grown alot in this last year!!! Thanks to Dawn and Nick ( I think they are angels sent by God ) I did not have one thing to worry about. I think I talked to Mary yesterday...for all the calls and prayers, thanks again!!! I can't wait to see everyone next Thursday!!! Love to all, Towana

I am SO Happy you are home!!! I know the bladder thing, last year it happend 3x with the kidney stones, and all I can say, is OUCH!!! They used detrol and pyridium plus for me, but it did not work, but that is when Dr. Byrne okayed the Celebrex for me for inflammation because he would not let me use any NSAID even suppository!! I took Celebrex only 2 x and it worked! I think Dawn said you were on an NSAID, so be careful, as even though it doesn't go through your pouch, it can still hurt you. So happy you are done for a while!! The water retention is awful from the plastics, I also gained 12 pounds, but it is coming off slowly. The doc said about 3 weeks for swelling and fluid retention. Glad to see you back on the board!! REMEMBER take it easy!!!!!!!!! Stay in bed!!! Get some zzzz Love, Deb

I am so glad you are doing okay and that you aren't stressing about the scale...that will come. You just need to stay in bed and take care of yourself so that you heal. Take Mary's advise and don't do too much. We love you and if you need anything please call me.....Meantime, I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Susann
