I joined the Gym

Well, I joined Boiling Springs Fitness Center today. I know I have equipment at home, but I am lacking the motivation to use it. Having lost weight in the past, I know that I do well with my exercise when I go somewhere to do it. I think having that initial orientation on the equipment and knowing what to do, how much weight and how many reps will definitely help me. I've been stalled for so long, and I know this is what I need!! Anybody want to join me??? Hugs, Dianne

I need to get back to Curves. I have a membership but haven't been there in SOOOO long. What days are you going? I don't know what days they will be closed for the holidays, but I will find out and commit to 3 days per week. Thanks for the challenge to give myself a gift! You're an angel. Debby

Hopefully I can join one this coming year. Between all my surgeries and so forth, and the upcoming surgeries and healing from the plastics, etc....I don't know if I will actually get to a gym this year Hopefully I can do something and get fit at the same time I am getting trimmed....plastics CONGRATS!!!! MS SUSANN & I ARE GONNA BE EXERCISE BUDDIES STARTING JAN 2nd. WE DON'T LIVE ALL THAT CLOSE TO EACH OTHER SO WE'LL KEEP TABS ON EACH OTHER CRACKING THE WHIP ON THE PHONE & BY E-MAIL. SHE HAS A GISELLE (sp?) & I HAVE A CARDIO GLIDE & A RECLINE BIKE. I'M ALSO GONNA START WALKING NATASHA (our dog) AS I DID THAT FOR A WHILE & WE BOTH BENEFITED FROM THAT. I WAS THINKING ABOUT JOINING CURVES BUT I HEARD THAT THE EXERCISES WEREN'T HARD ENOUGH. WITH A HEART CONDITION, THAT MAY BE GOOD FOR ME. ANYONE USE CURVES? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THEIR EQUIPMENT? HOW LONG OF A CONTRACT DO YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE? IS IT EXPENSIVE? CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR HOW THE EXERCISE HELPS YOUR STALL; KEEP US UPDATED. I have a Curves membership, although I have not been faithful to go for many months. I pay the money, yet don't go. I committed to go back, so I will. They run specials often on the membership fees and monthly costs. Depending on how you pay determines how long the contract will be, unless it has changed. Check with your physician regarding the program and whether you can handle it. I had a 12 month contract, but I could have gotten 6. A lot of times Avon has free two-week trials. If I have a coupon in the next book my friend gives me, I'll mail it to you. Merry Christmas. Debby
