Worst so Far

Out of all of my MANY surgeries, this is by far the worst one pain wise and also length wise. 6 plus hours under, and now just trying to stay awake enough to post. I did go pee and poop today, which helped a whole lots!! I was starting to see a little difference today, and I am watching my salt intake too. I am okay with the one leg up and trying to rest, as that keeps the swelling down, but every evening I tend to be a little swollen. I know last night was a restless night and my legs were a little swollen and my feet too. The other parts of me are okay. I am a little dissappointed in the sides of my thighs because t hey still pool up when I lay down like now. I like my waist and belly though. My butt looks a little square, but I can't really tell now until all the swelling comes out. I hope some of the stitches are coming out. and are not staying in. I just found out that Giselle will be the main nurse in the front desk now and will be in charge of most of our caree, mone, and anything elses, you might need. One other thing...you will need at home, TV trays as we have them at the house, and they help me get up/down and and most importantly, I can lean on them while I am on the toilet!!!! ''That is a major problemo here and the fact the beds are too high. I am 5'9" and have a hard time getting into bed, hubby always has to hold me up and I am holding his hand while he shoves a pillow under my legs. I really want to get back home, but at the same time, I am wanting to stay here and recover longer. I am starting to get bored, which means that there is not much to do here anymore, and I am cracking myself up with my drugs. I was just drifting off and dreamed my hand was in a fish tank and the fish came up and tried to grab it, and I woke up pulling my hand out fast, LOL I always dream random stuff like that. I hate it...I feel like an idiot! Okay, back to healing....I really hope this lower body lift really is what I want and expected. It will be 2-3 months before I can tell my full results. JD and her hubby and I are going to share Alex to Dr. Fuentes on Monday and then my hubby will be at the border waiting as he is going home tomorrow. I have my post op at 3:30. Alex better show up on Monday this time, is all I have to say. Francisco talked to him and told him to go, and this way we can share the cost of Alex. My hubby will leave tomorrow afternoon, and then I leave with JD on Monday and Asia leaves on Tuesday I think. I hope my drain will come out on Monday and that way it will be a huge load off my mind and out of my sides, ouchie. Anything to hlep with taking away with some of the pain. I will post later on, and I know its close to dinner soon, and I need to go clean up and wash my hands, etc... One word of caution: I have pissed off a couple of friends back in SC due to the drugs, so if you can't remember things really well or what you post, be careful, LOL Really! I had to go re-read some posts to know what some friends were talking about, and when I did, I did not even remember what I wrote or what I said, LOL That can be dangerous!! ABOUT THE SWELLING IN YOUR LEGS ... DID THEY PUT THOSE COMPRESSION STOCKINGS ON YOU &/OR THOSE BLOW UP LEG THINGS THEY PUT ON US WHEN WE HAD GASTRIC BYPASS? MAYBE THAT WOULD HELP THE SWELLING. ALSO, ARE YOU UP & WALIKING AROUND OR HANGING YOUR LEGS DOWN TOO MUCH ... YOU SHOULD BE RESTING WITH YOUR LEGS UP! AS FOR THE STITCHES COMING OUT ... OK, SCARE THE BA-GEE-BIES OUT OF ME! ARE YOU GONNA FALL APART INTO PIECES? DID YOU CALL YOUR SURGEON TO CHECK THIS OUT? HOW ABOUT THEM AT LEAST PUTTING TAPE OR STRIPS ON THEM TO CLOSE UP THE PLACES WHERE THE STITCHES ARE COMING OUT? Okay Deb, I am trying to respond to some posts.... Sorry to hear about all of the pain....but you know what they say - no pain, no gain...lol.. Seriously, I hope it gets better soon. AND STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP - YOU ARE HUMAN TOO AFTER ALL....and WE STILL LOVE YOU - DRUGS AND ALL. Love ya, Susann
