Made it to TJ!!!....Long

Okay, I made it to TJ in spite of Alex (the driver who drives across the border) and all the problems. My hubby came home from work around noon and he loaded the car and we headed out. We stopped in San Diego and grabbed a bite. I had called Alex a week ago and told him today at 2:30 for my appointment with Dr. Fuentes at 3:30, and he said no problem! I called today to confirm it and left him a message as he never answered the phone. Then I got to the border around 1:30, no Alex, no problem its early, called, and left a message, no Alex. Called around 2pm, and no Alex...called a zillion other times and nothing. Finally his cell phone started going straight to voice mails, and did not ring anymore, so obviously he did not want to be bothered with me anymore, or his phone died. I hope something happened because this was awful. My husband was sooo mad, but not really angry....hard to be mad, but he was upset. We went across the street and grabbed some insurance for $29.00 and he drove me to CosMed. (I called Amy...she is the owner of the recovery center, Hacienda Mariposa, and told her to please call Dr. Fuentes' office to let them know what was up). They told her no worries and Amy gave me great directions to CosMed. There was no parking and my hubby did not want to leave the car, so he stayed downstairs and I went upstairs and Giselle called Francisco from Hacienda Mariposa, and he came right away and met my hubby outside and got all my stuff and took it back to the house. He was then able to hit the road back to OC. He said only 25 minutes going back to USA, not bad at all!! Then I had my appointment and had to wait a little while, Dr. Fuentes was running long. He then came in and went over everything and said I did not have much fat at all to lipo. He said he thought I would have GREAT results from the lower body lift, and since I had lost 10 more pounds since I saw him last. I told him about Alex and he was really not happy. I also told Giselle, the front office nurse, and she was so shocked!! Anywho, Francisco, who is the driver for the recovery house, got there around 5pm and we waited for Asia....the other girl from plastic surgery journeys online that I know and is staying at the same house, to be ready around 6pm to go home. We left, and they brought her out, and she looked awesome!! I was so happy to see her and meet her in person and she looked great, really alert and not even like she just had surgery. She had liposcution and fat grafting to her booty done. There was a lot of traffic on the road because tomorrow is a Holy Day. We got to the house and I helped Asia out and we got in the house. Julietta, the lady who works at the house...and Francisco's wife, was there to help her into the house and we all went into the kitchen and met the other lady who had a facelift staying there. We had dinner, and it was really good. Asia ate Chicken Soup, and some tortillas and I had some sort of a beef goula**** was really good. Ground beef, and cut fresh potatoes with tomato sauce and garlic, garlic salt, pepper and then its cooked down, reduced and they served it with some white rice with some corn in it. It was very good, very much comfort food like for a cold night type food. We all ate at the bar. I brought some snacky stuff and instant hot chocolate and low carb bread with me, so I brought it down and put it in the kitchen for all of us to share, and Julietta loved the almond crunch...I told her I get it at Costco. I saw a Costco and Sam's Club near the hospital and on the way to the house. Then we were going to watch Lost, but it was in Spanish...haha, DUH I then came upstairs and Francisco had brought all my stuff upstairs and that was nice. I unpacked everything, hung up clothes, etc... I am in Rm 2 and it is nice, 2 double beds, and it has a bathroom. I have a lovely bowl of fruit on the table with about 4 bottles of water. The only negative I can see is that there are 2 little stairs up into the bathroom, and its tile and I am a spaz, so I can sooo see myself falling or busting my butt and walking up the stairs, haha. The bathtub is HUGE, but it has a jacuzzi tub that you have to step up into and there is a shower head, but no shower curtain, but there is a shower and bath next door, like a hall bath. The fireplace was lit downstairs and we all sat there for a few minutes after dinner, it was warm!! Asia was a litte sore, so she came upstairs and I went in and checked on her and gave her some propel and chewable iron pill so she can start to balance her fluids. She was laying on her tummy, and her booty is sticking up. I think she looks great!! Even though I did not see a before or after, and she has bandages all over, it looks good. I got her hair pulled back out of her eyes and hopefully she is sleeping now I am excited and so ready to get everything going!! Francisco wanted to call Alex too, but I told him, nah, I think Dr. Fuentes and Giselle will do it. I hope he will be there to take me back across the border on Monday, the 18th, as my hubby is going back to the USA on the 17th, so he can go to work on the 18th and then will drive back to pick me up on the 18th late afternoon, and we had hoped Alex would do it so I can use his fast pass, drains and all. Well, I am going to set my alarm so I can get up and go get my teeth all white and pretty! I also want to see if I can get a pedicure and manicure tomorrow. Amy said there is a place in the neighborhood. My nails are too long and I keep scratching myself and I can't file them myself, I keep making it worse when I do I will post more tomorrow!! I want to thank all of you for all the great comments and prayers!!! I really appreciate it. I will keep posting for all of you so you can see the Mexican experience. Oh, my room has a tv with a dvd player and with the rabbit ears, I get about 5 American channels from San Diego, so not a problem at all, other than I like to watch the cable channels, but who cares. I will use the locals, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX and one other. Love you guys!! Deb

Praise God and even in the confusion God worked it out for you. I wrote a sticky note and put it on the computer for me to pray everytime I sit at my desk which is often because I homeschool my eighth grade daughter. You are also in the Lord's thought because His Word says. "Many are Your thoughts towards me, they are too numerous to count, as many as the sands of the sea" I will look up the reference later. Love you and just call on the Name of Jesus duirng this whole time..."He is an ever present help in time of need." Thanks for saying you want to be like me...and then added like Jesus. That is the best compliment any of us as believers can get...that we are like Jesus. I so want to reflect His love, mercy and grace and pray I can bring honor and glory to His name and not mine. Joni, What a blessing you are!! You are very valuable to the kingdom, and God uses you all the time!! Very committed, I pray and I just get Loyal, Faithful, and Servant. Love you lots and I do know that verse I love it. I prayed over my room last night, and also my back. My back has been out, and I prayed earlier and it feels much better!! Except for No-Show Alex, things seems to be going well. Hope the other ladies keep progressing well!!!!!!!!
