Party Dress

Hey everyone! I am going to a christmas party for my husband's work this Friday. I have put off buying a dress (it is semi-formal). Now, I need to get a dress, and fast. Does anyone have any ideas on where to get one? I really don't want to spend a lot of money on one considering I won't be in a 16 forever (hopefully!!!). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Try a Cato's. They normally have dressy clothes and they are not that expensive. Also remember if you do invest in a nice party dress, you can always get it altered as you continue to lose weight. One year I bought a size 20 green velvet dress from Belks, I was a 16 at that time, and they altered it to fit and you could not tell it was done so. I hope that helps. Julie

Pet's Inc is a shelter for homeless pets, and they also have a thrift store to bring in more money: THRIFT AVENUE 1078 Sunset Blvd. West Columbia, SC 29169 (803) 926-0455 Store Hours: 10am - 8pm Every day I haven't been there, yet, but I'm going as soon as I get some Christmas money, because I'm told they have really nice clothes, including nice dressy stuff. Hi Jodie I second the consignment shops. I have a favorite here in Spartanburg and my daughter & I went there last week looking for something to wear to a very fancy party being held at a friends house in Greenville, this is a 2 million dollar home and they had an orchestra playing Christmas music, Valet parking, the works! There were over 200 guest! IT WAS BEAUTIFUL and my daughter and I bought our evening wear for this event at a consignment shop! LOL! I found a top made totally of red sequins for $3.00, my daughter found a beautiful black evening gown for $12.00! What was more awesome was we went to Belks after we left there to check on a friends bridal registry, We wondered over to their evening gowns just to look and dream .... We about died when we seen the SAME evening gown my daughter had just bought for $12.00, Belks had it for $175.00!!!! We were smiling from ear to ear! A lot of the very wealthy give their clothes to this shop. I checked in your area for you and have listed a few of the shops near you. Hope you have a fun time at the party you are going to. Try TJmax, Ross or Marshals sometimes they have semi-formal dresses. Judy
