Dad still in the hospital
Dads still in the hospital.. im here staying with him tonight.. his sugar is still up, it was 259 a min ago.. they keep up-ing his insulin, and giving him NPH and Regular both. soo we still need prayers that it will regulate.. The business office came up today and said our insurance was denying the claim for him to stay here this week.. which i think is BS bc he is here for a DIABETES problem, not Gastric Bypass, and i told the lady when i registered dad Tues that all "gastic bypass" codes needed to be left out of the insurance claim.. (our insurance doesnt cover WLS or its complications) .. so we will argue it out and fight that one! We have paid about 70k in the past 5 mths for WLS for me and him bc of our crappy insurance BCBS of SC (small group) and they cant even pay for THIS? .. the bill was 8k already this morning for being here since Tues.. Insurance companies make me so livid .. Hope everyone is doing well!

I am so sorry to hear that, and I will keep praying. What is his name again?? Sorry.
I hate insurance companies too, and that is the way it goes, get them out asap. You just need to call your insurance people and have the doctor jump on them first thing Monday morning. It is diabetes not gastric bypass, and duh, not a complication of gastric bypass, and if anything, if he had the WLS before, it would have been avoided and you can tell them its their fault for not having the wls earlier before the diabetes got to this point.
Take care, and God Bless!!!
Love,
Deb

EVEN THOUGH HIS SUGAR IS STILL HIGH, SOUNDS LIKE HE HAS LEVELED OUT & NOW IT'S JUST A WAITING GAME FOR HIS BODY TO REACT TO THE TREATMENT ... THAT'S GOOD NEWS! WE STILL KEEP HIM IN OUR PRAYERS.
HOPE THE RECODING GETS YOUR INSURANCE TO PAY ... THEY CAN BE SO FRUSTRATING TO WORK WITH SOMETIMES. I HAVE TO SAY WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE TRI CARE PRIME. THEY HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC.
GOD BLESS Y'ALL ... DAWN & NICK
