Just saying hello

I have been lurking here for weeks but since I have a surgery date (pending insurance of course) I figured I'd introduce myself. Lady D what an inspiration your page is! Thank you to all that have already been this route for sharing your stories and easing my fears about the surgery even though you didn't know you were doing it :o). I have been reading and reading and I am about to burst from all of the info but any advice or info is always appreciated.. thanks

Welcome yes Lady D is such a great lady ,you are more than welcome to come & meet us at the LCBB(low country bypass buddies )we meet every Thursday at Jc's bar & grill on Ashley phos road by foodlion shopping center & Curves is in there also & I think Dollar store to ,the lady that owns Jc's her name is Cheryl she had bypass also she has a special menue for us ,we jut set & chat & help each other out ,we meet at 6 pm till you want to go home ,Hope to see you there some time

Welcome! So glad you've decided to jump in. We have a much larger local group than it appears on the board. We all stay so busy, that we check in on each other online and don't post as much as we intend to. Please come to LCBB if you can make it. It is just the greatest group of people. We would love too have you join us. There's nothing like just being together every week for support. We're become family to each other, and we want you now, too. It's very casual. We all come and go between about 6 and 8:30 as our schedules allow. There are always lots of hugs and we laugh too loud. We're always there foreach other - for the good times and for the not so good. Family and friends are welcome - the more the merrier. We're having our Christmas party this Sunday and you would be most welcome. We'll be out in full force then. Congratulations! You've made a tremendous decision! I remember how I felt when I was at the same stage. I had my surgery just over 2 years and 125 pounds ago and it was the best decision I've ever made in my life. Don't look at MY page. It's just pitiful. I wish I had kept up with it. Please do that for yourself - document your experience and take tons of pictures, so you can look back and remember. Truly, everything will go so quickly, that you won't believe it! You are putting yourself in excellent hands at MUSC. They are the absolute BEST, so don't have any worries there. THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE YOU IS KEEP COMING TO THIS BOARD (the ladies & gents here are soooooo supportive) & TO JOIN US AT OUR WEEKLY LCBB (LOWCOUNTRY BYPASS BUDDIES) MEETINGS EACH THURSDAY EVENING AT 6:00pm TO WHENEVER AT JC's BAR & GRILL ON ASHLEY PHOSPHATE.
