My Turn for Plastics Next Week!!!
Good luck! And not that you asked for advice, but I'll give it anyway based on my extensive plastics experience now......
If you want to help reduce post-op swelling and bruising (especially from lipo), order from the internet some SinEcch. It's a strong brand of Arnica Montana. You take the first tablet before surgery and 2 others the day of, and 3x a day for 3 days following surgery. I've gone down both paths and it really makes a difference. Also, in general, my arms were the absolute worst for recovery. Not sure where your incisions will be, but mine extended down to my elbows. I ached so stinking bad!! I finally called my GB office to see if I could take Advil for a short period of time and they told me NO! I found regular Arnica Montana at GNC later and what a Godsend! You can buy a box of like a 100 tablets for around $8 and I pop 2-3 at a time (don't chew like the box though.....ugh!) and they work like Advil used to for me on the aches that prescription pain meds don't touch. I've gotten in the habit of sometimes taking Arnica instead of my prescription meds if it's an ache versus pain. I've had most of what you're having done. I had 5lbs of skin removed from my tummy alone with my first tummy tuck and that was from the front alone! Eeek! I've yet to have the backside and outer thighs done and just had the breast augmentation 3 weeks ago this Thursday. I'm curious when you said augmentation though. Are you having buttock augmentation? If so, with implants or fat injections? I'm wanting to have a little fat injection when I have mine done. I told my PS I bet he never thought I'd be telling him to put some fat back somewhere on my body!!

I bought all my zip up the front robes and some button up the front night shirts, as I don't anticipate wearing panties.....no, I am not Brittany Spears!!
Thanks for all the support, I can't wait!! I have to go tomorrow for my bile duct surgery post op and I am going to ask him if he will take out my drains for me when I get back. My surgeon in Mexico said if I have my post op with him on the 18th before I cross back over, he will maybe take out my drains, but not to get my hopes up. I don't want to get a seroma, so I will keep them longer to avoid that...as its bad to go get fluid drained off. It doesn't hurt, just not real good cause its full of infection and gross stuff. Some people who's drains fell out had seromas and then had to get re-opened up and had drains put back in after debrieding the area with a brush!! YUCK!! I do not want that, so I plan to tape those suckers to me real good.
I promise to post after I get down there, supposedly they have wireless in the house I am staying at.
yes, Tommy is going with me, but the 11th he will drop me off at the border and Alex, the driver, will pick me up and take me to Dr. Fuentes' office for my pre-op and he will give me some Rx's. I already am getting those filled here though, since Tricare will pay. I will though get some Arnica Montana there if I can't find it here....helps with swelling and really works.
Well ya'll, have a great weekend!! Thanks for all the emails/posts!!
Love ya!
Deb
