My area of expertise...

As I can not contribute much in WLS advice..(as I haven't had it yet) I wanted to contribute to you in another way, which IS my area of expertise....As I'm sure most of you have heard, this Friday and Saturday are TAX FREE shopping days in the state of SC. This is not like the tax free holiday around school time.. this is different.. you do not have to pay sales tax on ANYTHING you purchase in the state of SC this time, your purchases are not limited to clothes and school supplies..... From paperclips.. to a Toyota Tundra truck.. it's all sales tax free... now mind you , if you are shopping in a county which has a LOCAL OPTION TAX, you will have to pay that.. but no sales tax... (local option taxes run on average 1% to 1.5%) So I might not be able to give you advice on how to lose weight, but I can give you some advice on how to keep your wallet FAT!!! ENJOY!

I heard about this. That will be great. I'm going to Myrtle Beach so I will have lots of great shopping to do. WHOOOO HOOOO!!! Toyota Tundra's are great. DH has one and we love it! I'm getting a camry when it's paid off but that is a long way away. UM...like 4 years!! LOL Rachel

I had no idea! Thanks for the tip! but PHOOEY I'm already done with my Christmas/ Hanukkah shopping!! In reality, the tax free days wouldn't have made a difference to me anyway. I stay away from all malls, stores, Woodruff and Haywood roads from the day after Thanksgiving to February 1st. I HATE the shopping madness around the holidays. AND I get all my grocery shopping done at 6 AM on Sunday mornings until February also. Otherwise, I would HATE the holidays. This is the only way I can keep myself in a jolly mood. Kathy

Lucky YOU!!! I only have until December 11th, the day I leave to go to Mexico for surgery, so I haven't done ANY shopping yet! I know what I am getting everyone, but need to get my money in, and then I can shop! Thanks for the advice, and for anyone who needs help, Kathy said she would shop for us!! How did you do it Kathy? When did you start? PS What are good guy gifts? I have my dad to buy for and also my 2 sons, and clothes are just not it. I am better off giving a gift card to Gap or Old Navy. ;) Love, Deb
