question about dumping?
Hi. I would try some of the foods you would be eating while away and if you know something you eat makes you dump then you avoid that food but if you have eaten something at home and it has agreed with you I would eat that. Try some of the foods you know will be there befor you go there and you will be able to make good choises. Also take spare cloths just in case, have a good trip.
Holidays in the south....well, you will probably have Turkey, and I just asked my mom to fix things for me. I ate a bite of everything, but sweets. I had my own SF pudding and that was it ;)
Turkey, Green beans, bite of dressing, and bite of broccoli with cheese, you are full.
You can't eat enough to worry about it. I wanted more food and did not even taste everything on my plate before I was full
I suspect it will be that way this year too.
For dinner tonight I had a big salad, with 3 kinds of cheese, garbanzo beans, artichokes and olives, although they did not sit well tonight, and I grilled 2 chicken breasts. I ate 1/2 of a breast and put the rest in the fridge. I only had 1/2 of my salad....the chicken filled up my pouch, so I was really full. I did go back later and eat more salad for roughage that I needed later on, but that was it. Before bed I wanted a little something, and because I am constipated.....a new thing with me, worse than ever since bile duct surgery, I had 1 envelope of diet oatmeal. I only ate about 2/3 of it.
No worries, you will figure this all out. Your family will want to help you when its time, so my mom and others always ask, and instead of putting others out, I do ask what they are having for my sake, and not being rude, just asking....then if its bad, but meat is never bad, I bring a protein bar, or a salad or something, a piece of fruit and maybe a pudding. I got used to carrying my own foods, so its no biggie anymore.
Cheese strings, salad, fruit, protein bars, SF puddings, crystal lite, Propel, nuts after the 1st month, you couldn't possibly eat all that anyway.
