Tummy Tuck ROCKS

I"m finally back on the internet after having computer issues. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am thrilled with the results from my tummy tuck. Trident hospital was wonderful, I even called their director of nursing today to tell them how impressed I was with the care I received. Dr. Widenhouse was great. He had to start my surgery late because he was needed to do an emergency skin graft and was so apologetic. I couldn't complain so I just tried to relax. I went into surgery around 2. He said that I had LOTS of excess skin. He did not weigh it but by the scale (and I am still very swollen) I have lost around 7 pounds. He stretched my skin out, removed all from under the navel and removed the excess from over the navel. He stitched me up beautifully, placed a drain at each hip, and I was in my room walking by 5. I have felt great. The pain is more irritating and pulling from the stitches. I am standing up straight and having to stop myself from doing too much. If I did not have the drains I would already be back at work. I go in Thursday for my followup. If I am not draining over 50 ccs a day by then he will pull my drains. He said that most of his scarring problems and complications are from the drains being taken out too early. He has me measure and record every time I empty them, and wants me to bring the recordings with me thursday. Last but not least I HAVE A FLAT STOMACH. I am very swollen at my waist and around my belly button, but it is flat. I tried on some dresses, no lumpiness around my stomach, they hang flat. I'm going to try to come Thursday to LCBB. COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you!!! I know you look hot!! Take some pics!!! Are you getting more plastics done?? Arms or boobs or anything? I am heading for my 1st round December 13th and then 3 months later before I am allowed to have my inner thighs done and then boobs and arms last. I am sooo proud of you and I know you are thrilled with the results. Did they at least give you some good drugs while you waited and after?? Send pics!! Love ya honey! Deb

Thanks Deb, After I had spoken with the nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr W they gave me some Versed so I was quite happy watching daytime TV and gossiping with my cousin. I am going to get a breast reduction/lift after Christmas, probably in February. I have very good drugs, percocet and no pain at all when I take it. I feel so good that I forget to take it then it hits me hard that I have had major surgery and had better sit down. I am going to post my before and after picture as soon as I can get them together. It feels so weird not to have that huge amount of skin hanging from my stomach, I can't imagine what the pictures will look like side by side. I'm excited about your movie part. I THOUGHT MY BACKSIDE WOULD BE THE PROBLEM, BUT NO, IT WAS MY TUMMY ROLLS ... ONE OVER MY BELLY BUTTON & THE REALLY BAD ONE BELOW MY BELLY BUTTON. DID DOC ALSO TIGHTEN YOUR STOMACH MUSCLES, ETC?
