HEYYYYYYYYYY EVERYONE ... HOPE Y'ALL ARE DOING WONDERFULLY!!!! WHEW, HAVE WE BEEN IN OVERDRIVE HERE ... SORRY IT HAS KEPT ME OFF THE BOARD. JUST GOT MOMMA OUT OF THE HOSPITAL A-G-A-I-N ... AS IF SHE DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH TO CONTEND WITH, SHE IS HAVING HEART ISSUES ... STARTED LAST AUG & CONTINUES. THEY CAN'T FIND WHAT IS CAUSING THESE INCIDENTS & SAY THAT HER HEART IS AS SOUND AS CAN BE. SO, I GOT THIS IDEA THAT MAYBE SHE HAS AN ELECTRICAL IMPULSE ISSUE LIKE I DO. THEY ARE STILL CONSIDERING WHETHER TO BEGIN TESTING FOR ISSUES LIKE THAT, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE THE LAST OPTION FOR ANY ANSWERS SINCE EVERYTHING ELSE COMES BACK GOOD. KINDA IN A BACKWARD WAY, I MAY HAVE AN ANSWER TO MY OWN HEART ISSUES. THE HEART SPECIALIST TREATING MOMMA SAID THAT THERE IS A SURGICAL PROCEDURE THAT MAY BE BENEFICIAL TO ME. SO, I'LL BE CHECKING INTO THAT. ALL MY CO-MORBS DISAPPEARED AFTER GASTRIC BYPASS, BUT MY HEART CONDITION CONTINUES TO BE VERY ACTIVE EVEN THOUGH I'M ON HEAVY HEART MEDS. ANYWAY, OH MY GOSH ... JUST MAYBE .... MAYBE, WE HAVE AN ANSWER AFTER 30 YEARS OF THIS! WE JUST GOT BACK FROM NC & VA ... YESTERDAY WAS NICK'S 63rd BIRTHDAY SO I PLANNED A LONG WEEKEND TRIP FOR US SINCE WE HAVEN'T HAD A BREAK IN OVER 2 YEARS. WE RENTED A CABIN OVERLOOKING A LAKE IN GREEN MOUNTAIN (LENOIR), NC ... THE LEAVES & WEATHER WERE BEAUTIFUL!! THEN, I SURPRISED NICK BY HAVING US TOOTLE UP THE ROAD TO VISIT OUR DAUGHTER, NATALIE & MARC ... &, OUR GRANDKIDS, MEGAN, HANNAH, PRESTON & MINDA ... SO, THEY COULD ALL SHARE HIS BIRTHDAY WITH HIM. WE HAD THE BEST TIME. THEY WERE SOOOOOOO HAPPY TO SEE "MAMAW" & "PAPAW" & WE WERE JUST AS THRILLED TO SEE ALL OF THEM. THEY MADE THIS HUGH POSTER FOR MY PARENTS (THEIR GREAT GRANDPARENTS) COMPLETE WITH PICTURES OF THEMSELVES, GET WELL WISHES & WE MISS YOU THOUGHTS. IT'S PROBABLY 8 FEET LONG. WE DROVE 1200 MILES IN 4 DAYS. WE GOT BACK LAST NIGHT ... GRABBED A PIZZA & SHARED IT WITH MY FOLKS ... GOT A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP & HERE WE ARE! NOW WE NEED A VACATION FROM OUR VACATION! OH YEAH, I LOST 2/10ths OF A POUND WHILE ON VACATION. SO, NOW I'M DOWN ALMOST 103 #s AT 102.8 #s WEIGHING 177.0 FROM MY HIGH OF 279.80. I'M INTO A BAGGY 12 OR SQUEEZING INTO A TIGHT, TIGHT 10. OH MY GOSH, I HAVEN'T BEEN A SIZE 10 SINCE MY EARLY 20s ... THAT'S 3 DECADES AGOOOOOOO! THIS IS JUST TOO ! GOD BLESS Y'ALL ... DAWN & NICK

Thanks Ms Sandy. Yes, we're both feeling better - we really needed the break! Geez, I haven't even begun to plan for Thanksgiving ... I guess I'll cheat & order from the Publix Deli ... They have wonderful meals that you can order dish by dish & they are reasonable when you consider all the work it saves you. You still have to cook the turkey for several hours & heat the side dishes, but that is so easy compared to making everything from scratch. i have done so much around here,,making this and that,,,and when i think im done,,,i make something else,,,but i think its all coming together,,,,and i was at the meeting last thur,,and im going to try and be there this thru,,,but i got a phone call this morning at 7:00am,,,knowing it cant be good,,,and my cousin called and said my uncle was walking on the train tracks,,and got hit and died,,so,,,,,,,,i dont know when the family is getting to gether,,,,its in sumter,,,,so i have to try and go there,,,soon,,,just dont know what day,,,,,later,,good,,,oh,,,im down,,,68lbs,,,,wowowowo,,,, talk to you later,,,,have a good one and keep on keeping on,, sandy

Dawn, so wonderful to see you back on th board. I was getting a little concerned not seeing you here. I'm sorry to hear about your mom being in the hosp but w/ a blessing in disguise if the cardiologist who treated your mom thinks there is something that can help you. Isn't it amazing how we always seem to need, as you said a vacation from our vacations? I'm glad to see you had a wonderful time and was able to spend time w/ your daughter and grandchildren. I noticed your message about the lcbb meeting this Thursday. I wish I could come and meet all of you as I'll be in charleston that day for a follow-up w/ Dr. Byrne. Unfortunetely, it's almost a 3 hour drive one way, so by the time I'm finished w/ the appt. I just want to get home. YES MA'AM, AFTER 30 YEARS OF THIS, IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF THERE IS ACTUALLY SOMETHING THAT COULD HELP MY HEART CONDITION. AN EVEN "FUNNIER" THING HAPPENED ABOUT A YEAR AGO WHEN I WAS GETTING SOME EQUIPMENT AT A NEARBY MEDICAL SUPPLY HOUSE. SOMEHOW I GOT TO TALKING TO THE OWNER ABOUT HEART CONDITIONS & SHE TOLD ME ABOUT THE SURGERY HER HUSBAND WENT THROUGH THAT FIXED HIS ELECTRICAL IMPULSE ISSUES. NOW, I'M WONDERING IF IT IS THE SAME PROCEDURE THAT THE HEART SPECIALIST TOLD DADDY TO TELL ME ABOUT. I'M GONNA GO OVER & TALK TO HER AGAIN TO GET MORE INFO ABOUT HER HUBBY'S PROCEDURE.
