I finally made the Before and After pics on the main page!!!
I finally feel like I made it! Those pics and stories got me motivated over the past 1.5 years, and really inspired me on when I was feeling down!

Deb, I just wanted to tell u how freakin awesome you are! Those pics are amazing! .. and now to the personality aspect.. u are so great to everyone here! U make every effort to respond to every single post and make people feel "okay".. and give great advise! ive even caught myself saying "well deb said she did this" but seriously !! Thank you for going the extra mile.. even when u dont have to! And best wishes for your PS in Dec! Even though u look great now!!!

Answering some questions...
I used to live in Charleston....hubby got a new job with Boeing when he retired from the Air Force in May, and in August we moved to California 
I researched Dr. Byrne as well....he is ranked like 4 in the USA for gastric bypass, and I just love, love that man. I did lots of research for plastics, and I was going to use Dr. Katzen, even while living in SC. Well, we moved out here, and then insurance denied me. So I started looking on the posts here and found lots of people are going to Dr. Fuentes, in Tijuana, Mexico. It scared me so I ignored that for a while, but could not ignore the happy people and the great results and the prices. He advertises on here, CosMed clinic and I had seen the ad flashing before. So, I went to Tijuana last month after several emails from Dr. Fuentes himself, and fell in love with his staff, and him. He is amazing, kind, considerate and a gentleman, and most of all, very experienced with WLS patients. Lots of his patients come from all over the USA and other countries, but his clinic is really upscale (not sure that you would expect that) and very clean. He has it up to and in my opinion, exceeds US standards for cleanliness, up to the state of the art equipment standards and just plain great. I am paying $5400 for a lower body lift, and that includes everything. I am going to go down on December 12, and get zoom bleaching on my teeth for $120 from an awesome dentist, and then my pre op that afternoon, he will give me scripts for my pain meds and antibiotics and then downstairs there is a pharmacia. The hotel I am staying at is not far, about 5 minute walk, and is used to having surgery patients and caters to them. There is a lady, Vicki, who has a business of helping people who travel in for surgery, and she made my reservations for me at the hotel, getting me a cheaper rate, and they have room service, etc... her website is www.bajabeautycoach.com Dr. Fuentes' site is www.cosmedclinic.com I have a friend from online who will be having surgery the day after me and she is flying in from Virginia. I am going down on Tuesday and staying through Monday, with surgery being on Wed. I am staying through the weekend just because I think I will be sore and I can rest and the border crossing on the weekends is crowded and I don't want to be in a taxi or van (a guy named Alex charges $80 to take you round trip across, and has a fast pass in his van that will let you bypass most traffic) so I decided to spend the weekend so I can get a post op in on Monday and just check things out again before heading back to the USA
Most people have their pcp take care of them and their drains after surgery, and fly back home, but my pcp said she would take care of me, but not to ask about the drains as they wig her out...she is internal medicine and has not done a surgical rotation in years she said she wasn't comfortable, but would give me pain meds or see me post op for anything else.
