Any takers? My wife and I are starting Monday with the Optifast program through Bariatric Solutions in Greenville. Just wondering what kind of progress others have had.

Hi Jimmy  I have been on Opti-fast for three weeks and I've lost 8lbs. It hasn't gone off as quickly as I'd hoped, but I suppose that's what I'm having gastric bypass for. I recommend if you or your wife are even remotely lactose intolerant to get the ready made Opti-Fast in the boxes. The powder Optifast has the equivalent lactose as 3 cups of milk. Needless to say...there was alot of visits to the potty. I hope this helps. Cynthia 8-|

I know everyone that had surgery had to do optifast for a little while. I lost 7 lbs in one week. Others lost a lot more that did it for the entire month. A lot of people do it and have success. Best of luck to the both of you!!! Rachel

Hi Jimmy, I was on Optifast for 3 pre-op weeks, (5 shakes and 1 small meal a day w/ no pasta, rice, bread, or potatoes) and I lost 16 pounds. I loved the Optifast! Wishing you and Kathleen ALL the best and EVERY success as you begin on Monday! Dawn
