Just wondering which vitamins everyone takes and if there is a big difference in regular vitamins and the ones geared toward gastric bypass patients.... and how much are they? Where do I get them? I have been taking my childrens chewables because I bought a HUGE bottle last time and now it is time for new ones. Thanks for your input. Theresa

I was using the Flinstone chewables, but left a nasty taste in my mouth. I switched to the centrum regular, non chewable and do not seem to have a problem getting them down. Hope this helps. Julie

I take my surgeon's recommendation: Optisource. They are chewable and citrus flavored, and I take 4 per day. They're formulated for bariatric surgery patients, and are available at Walgreen's for $24.99 for a month's supply. I'm looking forward to switching to a non-chewable alternative when the Dr. says it's ok to do so. I can't remember whether he says 6 months or 1 year post-op. Either way, I'm not there yet. Dawn

I use the optisource and it is 24.99 at Dr Bours office, but on the bottle you can get it or order them thru Walgreens 1-800-828-9194. It has everything that we need in it and it taste like orange..not bad at all! Patti

I use vista vitamins. Got them through bariatriceating. Com, both the chewable for immediate post op then the capsules for post op when I'm eating regular food. Recommended by deborah s.
