Serious Question...
OKay... so i know that after WLS your tailbone can be "sensitive" .. well i think mine is more than that. it has become freakin HUGE! im not kidding.. and its not assymetrical, theres more of it on one side into my butt cheek.. (no i wont show u pictures
) sorry had to throw a joke in there somewhere.. but seriously. im starting to freak out about it..it makes me feel like i need to poop.. so i can "feel" it inside of me too.. spina bifida runs in our family, my uncle had it and passed away at 3 from hydrocephalus and complications from spina bifida.. well me and my dad were borderline with having spina bifida as well, but it closed up right before birth obviously. (same thing with Kassidy).. but i have never felt this mass on my hind end like this before. and i think it would of been obvious 93 lbs ago as well!?? dont u? i dunno tell me what yall think..
thanks, Jen

Yeah i have put a call in for my PCP to call me back about it.. My husband is getting a kick out of this one.. he always makes fun of me and my ailments.. last time i thought i had west nile disease..
lol time before that i had to have a heart monitor on for 24 hours he thought that was hilarious and wanted to have sex with it on
lol.. figured he'd give them something to talk about reading it
sooo im hoping this is just another crazy thing that will pass.. lol

WELL, CONSIDERING ALL THE WEIGHT WE USED TO CARRY, WHO KNOWS WHAT WE DID TO OUR POOR BONES, MS JENNIFER. MY SKELETON HAS CHANGED TREMENDOUSLY SINCE I'VE LOST WEIGHT ... I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MY NECK IS PERFECTLY STRAIGHT ... NO NATURAL CURVE ANY MORE ... &, THAT MY LOWER SPINE LOOKS LIKE I HAVE A SIDEWAYS CURVATURE OF THE SPINE LIKE ONE GETS IN YOUR UPPER BACK. &, WHEN I SIT ON HARD SURFACES NOW, I SIT RIGHT ON THE BOTTOM OF MY HIP BONES ... OUCHHHHHHH!
I'D GO GET IT CHECKED OUT, FOR SURE ... BUT, I'M REALLY UPSET THAT WE AREN'T GONNA GET TO PEEK AT ANY BUTT PICTURES ... WHAT A PARTY POOPER YOU'VE BECOME!
LET US KNOW WHAT YOU FIND OUT, GIRL!
GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICK

I GOTTA TELL ON MYSELF ... SPEAKING ABOUT BONES ... ONE TIME WHEN I LOST A LARGE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT, I NOTICED THIS LARGE, HARD LUMP IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CHEST JUST BELOW MY BREASTS. WELL, I WAS YOUNGER & GOT RILED UP EASILY SO, OF COURSE, I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT THAT I HAD A TUMOR ... SCHEESH, I FINALLY LOSE WEIGHT & NOW I'M GONNA
DIE OF CANCER.
I DRIVE MYSELF ABSOLUTELY
CRAZY FOR MONTHS ON END THINKING I WAS
DYING UNTIL I FINALLY WENT TO MY FAMILY DOCTOR. COME TO FIND OUT, IT WAS PART OF MY RIB CAGE ... THE PROTECTIVE BONE IN THE MIDDLE WHERE YOUR RIBS MEET OVER YOUR HEART. I NEVER KNEW I HAD A BONE THERE BECAUSE I HAD BEEN SO FAT FOR SO LONG THAT I COULDN'T FEEL IT!
MY DOC DID EVERYTHING HE COULD TO STOP HIMSELF FROM
FALLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING HIS BACKSIDE OFF AT ME. HE EVEN BROUGHT OUT A PICTURE & A SKELETON TO SHOW ME WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE. IF HE EVER WRITES A BOOK, I'M GONNA BE IN IT FOR SURE!
SO, THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS ... I DIDN'T DIE FROM HAVING A BREAST BONE!

OH MY GOSH, WHAT A DORK!
HANG MY HEAD!
IT'S OK ... THE

LAUGH'S ON MEEEEEEEEEEE!
GOD BLESS Y'ALL ... DAWN & NICK

If your tailbone is leaning more towards one side of your butt cheek than another, chances are it may be more from scoliosis than spina bifida. Unfortunately, I have both. My spina bifida has not resulted in any disability, but I do have a section of my spinal cord that is only covered by soft tissue. One of my vertebrae never closed. The scoliosis is pretty mild. It only keeps me from carrying my purse on one of my shoulders. It slips off because I'm "crooked."
I got all kinds of ailments too. I used to tell my mom "GAWD woman! Did you get ANY prenatal care...?"
Anyway, I feel you on the tailbone thing. One day - lets just say - I had to wipe pretty "aggressively" and I felt my tailbone. I was completely horrified for a second because I KNEW it was a tumor. Then I realized what it was. Definitely check with your PCP, they may want to look at your spine.
