WOW moments

Isn't it amazing the way your brain does not catch up I finally decided to buy new jeans as my others (20 and 22's) were ridiculous looking I automatically picked an 18 as I thought they should fit me after losing 77 pounds...they were enormous!! I picked the 16 and couldn't believe that they were also big, so I looked at the 14 but I just couldn't imagine that they would get past my thighs....but they fit with a little room at the waist I'm amazed! Although I see the difference I still expect to be buying fat clothes ...does anyone else feel like this too? Lesley

Congrats Lesley! I still tend to look at the Women's dept, and plus sizes and I am now in 6/8's. It takes a while. I will pick up a lg and I need a med, and then a small after I try it on. Its lots of fun and expensive, to shop now!! Love ya!! Deb

Whoooooooo hooooooo Leslie!!! How exciting is THAT?!? Just so you know, I feel the same way. I was freezing here the other day, and went looking in my closet for something with long sleeves. I found a hand-me-down shirt my sister had sent me ... a size Large from Express. I thought I'd try it just to see how much farther I'd have to go before it would fit me. OMG ... it FIT!!! I wore it all day, and told everybody I talked to that I was wearing a Large! I wanted to wear a Clemson t-shirt to work today, but all my old 3x t-shirts ... that I had been unable to squeeze into before surgery ... looked ridiculous! More like a nightgown than a t-shirt. So happy and excited for you ... congrats on those 14's with the room at the waist!! Dawn

Dawn you are too funny....I try clothes on now weekly because if I don't...they are too big to wear. Make yourself try them on even though it is a pain...you will be pleasantly surprised. In Him, Joan M

I'M ACTUALLY DOING THAT, MS DAWN ... TAKING MY OLD XXX-SIZED T-SHIRTS & USING THEM AS NIGHTGOWNS. I WENT THROUGH MY CLOSETS AGAIN (ABOUT THE 4th TIME, I THINK) TO DONATE MY BIG CLOTHES TO OUR CHURCH & MY CLOSET IS GETTING RATHER SPARCE! I DON'T HAVE ANY FULL-LENGTH JEANS OR NICE SLACKS AT ALL. AND, I'M GOING TO HAVE TO GET SOMETHING FOR THE HOLIDAYS/CHURCH AS WHAT I HAVE KEPT IS REALLY BAGGY. IT USED TO BE THAT I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO WEAR CUZ I COULDN'T FIT MY FAT INTO ANYTHING ... NOW I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO WEAR CUZ MY CLOTHES FALL OFF OF ME! I LIKE THIS PROBLEM! GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICK

Congratulations, that is wonderful Lesley. Buy a few 14's to take on your trip - your family will be so proud of you. Yes, I had a whole closet full of 2x clothes that I never tried on because I didn't think I could wear them. Ends up they were all too big by the time I thought they would fit me! Somehow I still feel like I look the same and should wear the same size. It takes looking at pics to help me realize how far I have come. Have a great trip and we will see you when you get back.... Lesley, Congrats Girl....it is so hard to believe isn't it? I know I still walk to the plus sizes department and then stop and say " what am I doing here, these are too big for ME" Me...I can hardly believe it myself. The brain does take a while to catch up.
