Century Club!!

I am dancing and jumping for joy today. For not only did I hit the 100lb lost yesterday but Apple Pie got my card on my profile last night...thanks so much. And today I weighed in at 189.8...I will take any loss I can...so only 54-60 pounds to go. My Doc says 120 I have a goadl of 135 because of my age. But only the Lord knows where He wants me and I will be happy wherever. If this is all I were to ever lose I would still be so thanksful to the Lord for this surgery. Keep pressing in and obey the rules and you will be successful. In Christ's love, Joan M

Joan, You're so kind to say that! I am doing very well, even though I constantly fight the worry that my weight loss is slowwww. It's not, really. I just tend to compare myself to the people who have had the faster losses and the bigger successes. Silly me! I guess this is my latest pic ... one of the ones my hubby took at 4 months post-op. Tomorrow marks my 5th month out. Gonna weigh tonight at my doctor's support group meeting! Hope this week finds you well and smiling! Dawn

MY FIRST 60 #s CAME OFF LIKE CRAZY, THEN I BECAME THE "QUEEN OF STALLS" & MY WEIGHT LOSS SLOW DOWN HAD TO BE A RECORD IN SLOWNESSSSSS! BUT, THE ONLY POINT YOU HAVE TO FOCUS ON IS THAT YOU ARE LOSING & AS LONG AS YOU DO WHAT YOU KNOW IS HEALTHY IN YOUR DECISIONS, YOU WILL NEVER REGAIN THIS WEIGHT AGAIN. IT TOOK ME OVER 11 MONTHS TO LOSE MY FIRST 100 #s BUT WHO CARES? I'VE LOST 1-0-0 #s ... THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS. SO, NO MORE COMPARISONS MS DOUBLE D ... JUST MARK EVERY POUND AS ANOTHER SUCCESS! Dawn, I'm so tickled for you to be able to say you have lost 1-0-0 pounds!!! You're right though, no more comparisons ... although I will probably STILL compare my progress to Jennifer's. She and I are about the same height, and we started at the same weight ... only her surgery was a month AFTER mine, and she's lost more than me at this point. Arrrghhhh!! At the same time, I know she's 20 years younger than me, she exercises more than I do ... plus she does spend a lot of time running around nekkid. (Love ya always, Jen!!!) My best congrats to you, Dawn as your "surgiversary" approaches this weekend, and you celebrate 100 pounds GONE! Dawn
