Hi Deb!!! According to Dr. R's seminar last week.. his response to that question was... 1 egg to start.. and 2 eggs after about a year.... !

I was told that if we haven't been eating more than we should all along, that the pouch will stretch out to somewhere between 1 & 1-1/2 cups. Sometimes I can eat as much as half a sandwich ... Sometimes only about 4-5 bites & I'm almost a year post op. God bless you ... Dawn & Nick

I can usually eat a salad...not a big one, like a regular small one and a couple of pieces of meat and a bite of bread or 3 pieces of meat....but I know salad does not take up much space, so that seems normal. Thanks!!! Oh, I was able to eat 1 1/2 "fried" eggs today in toast....toad in a hole....no butter, pam, and it was yummy. I am trying to eat softer foods as not to eat anything that can get caught in my stricture area like all the foods I used to eat...nuts, lots of veggies, and no popcorn!! Awwh, I lived on nuts and popcorn sometimes, so Back to basics!! Love you guys! Thanks...its interesting isn't it?? Oh, I saw my pouchie on the xray yesterday and it was little looking, like an egg, and I asked the girl what the big black thing was behind it, and she said my hernia...it shows up as dead space. Also, did not know this....as we lose, the fat goes away...yeah! but it leaves spaces that the intestine can slip up into....boo! Deb
