Very BAD news

Bad news, I have to have surgery on Nov 15th for 1st, a hernia or adhesions causing an obstruction, and 2ndly an enlarged bile duct, which they think might have a stone blocking, so that is double bad news for me. I am sooo upset and I just can't believe it. The doctor said it is common, but I just hate that it was one of the side effects from my gastric bypass that I had. My liver enzymes have been very much elevated, so that must be the blockage in my bile duct, so at least that will be taken care of too, but he will have to make an incision in my old stomach to have the Dr. put a scope in to view the bile duct, and then the lap hernia exploratory is 2nd to that surgery. I am going to have 2 separate surgeons combined with one surgery. What a pain!! I am just so upset, I was looking forward to my plastic surgery in December, so not really wanting to deal with this right now, especially right before the holidays. I am not even sure I can proceed with my plastic surgery for the removal of the excess skin now, so I am just going to have to wait and see. I am praying God will heal me and I won't have to have this done, so please pray and stand with me on this so that no more surgeries!! unless its plastics!! Oh Deb, I am sorry to hear that. Things are for a reason sometimes, even bad things so don't let it get you down, be glad they found these things and they are going to be fixed and not cause you problems years down the road. DEB, JUST GOT ON THE BOARD AND READ OF YOUR PROBLEMS. I'M SO SORRY THIS HAS SLOWED YOU DOWN. BUT YOU KNOW GOD HAS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING AND NEVER GIVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE. JUST THINK OF THIS AS ANOTHER STEPPING STONE ON THE WALK OF YOUR LIFE. WE ALL HAVE TO MAKE DETOURS EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE, WE MAY HATE THEM BUT THEY'RE THERE. JUST REMEMBER, IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH THE GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY AND THE MONTH OF PUREE FOOD YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS ALSO. I WENT TO SEE DR. BYRNE YESTERDAY, 10/19. THE DRAIN IS OUT AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DRAIN MAKES. BY THE WAY I MENTIONED YOU SAID TO SAY HELLO AND HE SAYS HELLO BACK. WILL GO BACK NEXT MONTH. SO FAR EVERYTHING HAS BEEN GREAT. NO PROBLEMS. HOPEFULLY IT CONTINUES LIKE THIS. IN FACT DR. BRYNE ASKED IF I WAS SURE IF I HAD SURGERY I WAS DOING SO GOOD. JUST KNOW YOU ARE IN MY AND MY FAMILIES PRAYERS FOR YOUR UPCOMMING PROCEDURE. ACTUALLY, THIS IS THE "GOOD" NEWS, MS DEB ... THE "BAD" NEWS IS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN SUFFERING SO LONG WITH ALL THIS PAIN & NO ANSWERS. NOW YOU HAVE ANSWERS & TREATMENT COMING THAT WILL BRING YOU OUT OF THAT PAIN! PLASTICS WILL COME, BUT FIRST YOU NEED WHATEVER IS NECESSARY TO HEAL YOU SO YOU CAN LIVE PAIN FREEEEEEEEEEEEE! thanks again everyone! The surgery for the adhesions don't bother me at all, but the bile duct enlargment is worriesome. I heard once you have these hernia/adhesions, then you are more prone to more...but I rebuke that in Jesus' name. I am so ready to be done with this before the holidays, so I can get on with everything...would be nice! So, I am enjoying my time with my son, so I plan to have a great time this weekend, and hopefully I will be up to doing something fun, as he is home for fall break. Love to you all, Thanks again! oh, PS Oh, I saw my pouchie on the xray yesterday and it was little looking, like an egg, and I asked the girl what the big black thing was behind it, and she said my hernia...it shows up as dead space. Also, did not know this....as we lose weight, the fat goes away...yeah! but it leaves spaces that the intestine can slip up into....boo!

You know I'm a firm believer that God in in control of all things. Always give Him Praise and Glory and look to Him for all things. As my sister use to always tell me, well here's another bump in the road, but you can go over it. If you have been having pain, then this is a blessing not a bad thing, but we know now what problems you are having so we can pray directly for them and God is able to remove a hernia and slim down a bile duct in Jesus Name! One of the stripes that Jesus took was for your hernia and the other was for your bile duct....and He said WE ARE HEALED..... If you have to encounter surgery, there is a reason, it may be to bless someone else. So look to the blessing that's in store for you. Look how far you've come, I looked at your profile and it's unbelievable the milestones that you have taken, it's awesome the courage God gives us to endure. You've come a long way, so don't be discouraged, be encourage! I'm praying for you and let us know how you're doing? Linda
