I just found out that the small tootsie rolls don't make me sick. As long as I time them far enough apart and only have one at a time. I can't blame anyone but myself. I bought them to put in my Halloween bowl on my desk to share and actually stayed away from them for an entire week and a half. then I tried one, then another, then another... then two more.... So now I have moved the bowl with the last of the tootsie rolls to someone else's desk downstairs. Why must I push the limits? I think I'm gonna have to hire a chaperone... Kathy

HIRE ME!!! (I need a new job!) Whole Foods makes Organic Chocolate Truffles that are to die for, and they have a big ole display of the boxes at the front on a register aisle ... usually with a dish of samples out for people to try. Guess who usually gets assigned to the nearest register? That would be me. They are relatively low in sugar (7 grams for 3 truffles) so, of course, I tried one. It was better than any sex I've had lately. Bad news: There are 170 calories in those same 3 truffles, with 14 grams of fat. Boooo! Evil Truffles!!! Dawn

You are stronger than I am, Ms Kathy! I know that if I start eating sweets again that I am a goner & the weight will come back. Ms Cheryl turned me on to sugar-free Dove candies (check out Wal*Mart's sugar-free candy aisle & Publix has a great sugar-free cookie section) ... Ohhhh my goshhhh are they good ... Dark chocolate, strawberry dark chocolate & dark chocolate mint. Also, try the Russel Stovers sugar-free candies, especially their Turtles. If you like hard candy, there is a sugar-free coffee flavored candy & a strawberry flavor that are delishhhhhh. Usually, one piece will stop my cravings & then I'm not tempted to get back on the sugar rush. God bless you ... Dawn & Nick PS: AS A SIDE NOTE ... ON TOP OF PLAYING HAVOC WITH YOUR BLOOD GLUCOSE, REMEMBER, WHEN YOU EAT SIMPLE CARBS (SUGAR), YOU BODY PRODUCES CHEMICALS THAT TELL IT TO "STORE" ENERGY (FAT) ... WHEN YOU EAT PROTEIN, YOUR BODY PRODUCES CHEMICALS THAT TELL IT TO "USE" ENERGY (FAT), SO A PROTEIN BAR OR PROTEIN PRODUCT IS ALWAYS A BETTER SNACK THAN A SUGARY SNACK.
