Thanks for all the prayers. Everything went better than expected. I feel pretty good, no pain or nausea. No problem with the juices, even the grits went down well. I spiked a little temp last night but it came back down quickly when I ramped up the incentive spirometer use. I asked for some Phenergan 12.5mg IV before my Leak Test. My tactic worked like a charm. No nausea, and I was so high on Phenergan and Morphine PCA that the contrast tasted Crown Royal. Not really, but it was tollerable. I have an appointment with Dr. Byrne on Monday to get my JP drain pulled. I'll keep you guys updated. Peace Eddie

I glad everything went so well for you. I am so jealous that you got to eat grits. I don't get them for like 4 more weeks!!! DANG!!! That was to funny about your tactic before the leak test! Wish I had thought of that!! I got a little temp before I went home but they made me use the spirometer too. Congrats and best wishes on your weight loss. Rachel

Eddie, Wish someone had told me about that trick!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! Walk a lot and keep using the spirometer, and that will keep the fever away!! God Bless, keep posting when you can!!! Oh, The drain removal does not hurt, but it feels really funky....but I did take something prior to my appointment and that helped....so dose up before you go!! Tell Dr. Byrne I said hello from California!!! I love that man, what a sweet guy!!! Glad to know you are home and doing well If you haven't found a basic protein powder, try Any Whey and use it in EVERYTHING!!! Grits, oatmeal, cream of wheat, ricotta cheese, and puddings, you will be glad and the protein will stay up, and you will never have problems ;) Also, if you haven't gotten a good vitamin, I can recommend Vista Vitamins, I have never had low blood levels on anything by using those, Chewables, then capsules after 3 months. God BLess, Deb www.vistavitamins.com http://www.supplementwarehouse.com/search.asp?strSearch=any+whey&submit2=Go%21
