Urgent Pain ?

My friend had RNY w/Dr. Ross a week ago this past Monday. She was doing great until day before yesterday when she started having real bad spasms. She has called Dr. Ross and he's called a prescription in for her but she wanted me to see if anyone else has had this pain. She says it starts right under her rib and goes around to her back. She says it feels like the "old" stomach spasming. When it occurs, it takes her breath away and she's having trouble sleeping. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I had no problems so I'm no help to her. Thanks, guys!!!!! Hugs, Connie

sounds like it could be her gallbladder if nothing else related to the surgery.. but i would be very pro-active in finding out the cause .. good luck with everything for her!

Hey Connie, Yes it sure does sound like gallbladder to me also, I had gallbladder pain years ago and had to get it taken out, and believe me that is pain you never forget. Hope she gets to see the doctor about it. Good luck to her and hope she gets it taken care of right away.
