Hey Everyone, I am 13 months post op and I am sick all the time now I am going tomorrow for an ultrasound to see if there is a blockage or something. No matter what I eat or how much, I feel so nauseated and sick to my stomach. I am also "throwing up" stuff in my throat, but I don't let it come all the way out....TMI Next week I am having a CT scan with Contrast, and they want me to drink tons of barium....yuck!! how am I going to drink that much? Anyone have any of these tests post op?? Dr. Byrne said we have a bigger chance of adhesians and scar tissue the further out we are....don't know, but I feel like crap!! I feel like a newbie post op! Trying to stay hydrated and not get sick is hard. Saltines are okay, but not all the time Thanks guys, Hopefully someone will know what to do. Love, Deb

I had a CT scan earlier this year and had to drink the barium. It's not more than you can handle if you space it out....it just doesn't taste the best. You get to choose a flavor and refrigerate before drinking. I thought I was through with it and when I got to the hospital they had more for me to drink! They may need to do an endoscopy as well where the scope down your throat into your tummy to see if anything is amiss. I also had that done earlier this year and was knocked out so it was a breeze.

Thanks for all the replies both on the board and privately I am feeling better somewhat...sometimes I have bad stomach pains, and other times I am okay. I am going on the 17th to the gastro doc and to also have a CT scan that day with contrast. I have been taking Nexium and seems to help a little...I suppose, so maybe it is an ulcer?? Love you guys, and many thanks and blessings!! Deb
