Plastic Surgery Consult

I just left the plastric surgeons office and I am thrilled. If you have never seen me, I am very short and all of my weight was in my breasts and tummy. I've lost about 115 pounds. I went for a consult for a reduction and tummy tuck, he said that he can remove everything below my belly button (and that is a ton of stuff) I feel like my boobs hang to my belly button, he will reduce them and use my skin to lift them up. He does not foresee any insurance issues, he was very confident when he told me that he knew how to word the insurance petition. I went to Dr. Widenhouse (where Towanna was). I'm walking on air now, I think that when my stomach is gone I can wear an 10 easy. I haven't worn a size ten probably since I was 10 years old. Just had to share, have a good day everybody

Good for you! Don't forget to take pics, before and after. (I'm a voyeur I think...) Ask them how long they can save the boob tissue they take off of you. I'd like to have it for when I am going for plastics to "fluff" mine back up! Kathy

That's very exciting!! Wish my insurance would work, but I am VERY happy with my doctor. I am getting so excited!!! When is your date? Did they give you one yet?? CONGRATS!!!! I am sooo happy for you!!! Did he say you would need several rounds? Also, is he going to do just a tummy tuck, or a lower body lift? (basically a tummy tuck all the way around, takes care of saggy butt syndrome... ) Take care!!! Happy to hear the good news! Deb

He said that I can possibly have both surgeries at once. Again it depends on the insurance, sometimes they will pay for only one procedure at a time. He then said that I could possibly have my reduction on a Monday, bring me back on Thursday and do the stomach. He will keep me after the tummy for a 23 hour observation period. I didn't even ask about the lower body lift. I have truly no butt now, all of my sag is in the front. I know insurance wouldn't go for the LBL. Don't know a date yet, he will schedule as soon as the insurance goes though. I so excited for YOU. Can't wait to see pictures. Can you believe that we are looking at flat bodies? Just think about us a year ago!!!!!! Mary
